Noob Questions about STEP

Hi guys,

Just after a little advice really....

 

I've just installed a fresh copy of Skyrim with all the DLC's and I'm looking to install STEP. How does STEP work with the updates regarding continuing a saved game? Can you update the core modules of STEP (ie installing and/or removing) safely without breaking a current save? I'm also wanting to install some of the gameplay Packs too, can these also be updated without breaking a save? I don't really want to update the game, start a new game and realise that I can't update!

Gameplay packs can be added, but not removed. STEP Core can be added or removed. STEP Extended can be added, but not removed.

So when you say mods can be added but not removed, can these mods still be updated?

It depends on the mods. When looking at a mod's page on nexus, you'll usually see whether the mod can be updated on the go, or if there are special instructions to update it, or if you need a new save if you want to update.
