On the topic of Vsync...

Question

Considering the universally accepted (from what I can see on the internets) conclusion that Vsync increases input lag, I was curious whether it wouldn't be better to just disable it, limit FPS to 60, and enable triple buffering (which, if I understand correctly gets rid of tearing when running below refresh rate)?

I think you can enable it for Directx with third party tools like Radeon Pro, which I intend to use instead of Catalyst.

Does disabling Vsync via the ini-file and using an external FPS-Limiter lead to bugs? Or was that fixed in the meantime? Most threads about that topic are way too OLD...

From what I could google up, you'd only get some weird game behavoir if you disabled vsync without limiting FPS. But I don't know anything about the subject myself.
