Bouncing around in opening scene

Question

Posted

So yeah, starting a new play through.

As soon as the bethesda loga and skyrim crud goes, the cart at the very begining of the game is bouncing around all over the place. Sometimes the cart is ok but then the horse tries to walk through the cliff on the left hand side.

Whats causing this?

I have checked all my mods for compatibility issues. I am upto date on all of my mods. I have run FNIS, very last of all, after bashed patches and SUM.

Before i begin the LONG LONG LONG arduous journey of turning mods on one by one...

Does anyone know of any issues that can cause this?

Is there something im missing?

Are there any know mods that cause this issue?

Here is my latest mod list

I have been using SR as a base for my mod list and tweaking it to my liking.

Im running Mod Organizer (NOT the latest beta)

I know this is  a big mod list, but i have had it running awesomely in the past. But with all the major updates to mods, I decided to start a fresh playthrough.

Newly added mods are just alternate textures packs, Complete Crafting Remade, Clock Widget, and some newer SkyRe patches.

As i say i've had my game running great for ages, but with the new Memory patches/SKSE version and all the updates, decided it was time to start from scratch. Im thinking that maybe IA v7 or CCOr could be causing this, but not directly. Possibly a conflict with another mod?

Try enabling the FPS limiter in your ENBlocal.ini.

In the section:

[LIMITER]
EnableFPSLimit=true
FPSLimit=59.0

Not everyone says this works, but apparently it does for a great many so you may or may not have success.

As my system can't get over 60FPS I can only pass on what I have read, not from personal experience.

Not sure I have an ENBlocal.ini? Like I said, I haven't done anything but install the game, the basic utilities in STEP 1.C, done the ini tweaks in 1.D, and the display stuff in 1.E. ENBoost isn't in the install list until 2.C so I haven't gotten there yet. What I don't get is why when I enable vsync in my video card settings in the NVIDIA control panel, the setting is sticking.

VSync isn't my error, so I can't offer anything about that except to say there was a very lengthy discussion here in STEP about where certain settings should be made, in the driver settings with the control panel or via ini files.

Have a look around for that discussion. I'll do a search also and see if I can find it.

EDIT:

Found it here.

Yeah, I mean I can just continue on I suppose. I'm sure at some point I'll have enough stuff in that I won't be running above 60 FPS anyway, especially if I put an ENB in. But it seems odd to me that no matter what I do I can't seem to limit the FPS in game.

Ok, I figured out the vsync issue. Where I had previously read that iPresentInterval = 1 needed to be in the skyrimprefs.ini, it in fact needs to go into the skyrim.ini. This fixed my problem with FPS limiting, which also seems to have fixed the issue with the carts flying all over the place. Unfortunately it does cause some issues with mouse cursor acceleration, but hopefully once I get everything else in place I can turn vsync back off anyway. Thanks for the help, and hope this clarifies for someone else running into the same issue.
