HRDLC's are overwriting alot

Crimson13

Question

So what basically happened is that I did STEP and later on found out that I forgot to check the optimized DLC's. So I turned them on and now they're overwriting everything they can get their hands on. And I can't seem stop it, for example Virtus Imperii is basically rendered moot because the HRDLC1 overwrites it. The optimized Dawnguard for another example is overwriting SIMM's Soul Cairn bones piles.

I tried reinstalling Virtus Imperii with the hope that it would work but the HRDLC1 would not let it period. The only way I could stop it was if I unchecked the HRDLC's that caused the problems, then Virtus Imperii and others worked. Unchecking the others also has the same thing.

So I guess what I want to ask is if there's a way that I can make the OptDLC's work or barring that if Skyrim would be fine without the them. I still have the other textures from STEP, I just don't want there to be an issue if the OptDLC's aren't there.

Are you using Mod Organizer? if you are, and you are wanting your other texture mods to overwrite the optimized DLC's, then make sure that the mods you want to overwrite have a higher priority than the mods you want overwritten.

Or simply hide the files that you don't want in the game ;)
