0 Goodfella Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Having an issue generating the latest alpha 190. I've been using DynDOLOD for 3 years and have always been able to figure it out so far, but this is the first time I've posted for help here. The program terminates prematurely and doesn't generate a log for me to post here. The previous worked fine, I'm not sure if it's the update. I haven't updated any mods from the last version either. It seems stuck processing patches. Let me know if there is anything I can do to share or post more information.

Then run it again and copy/paste the output from the application window.

Read https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Post-Logs which bugreport.txt to upload if it exists and how to enable the realtime log and to check the Windows Event log in case the program is terminated prematurely.

The plugin alone works fine here, though. If not, do a binary search to find the plugin(s) required to cause the crash. 1. Only select to load about half the plugin in xEdit. 2. If it loads, selected the other half. 3. If it crashes, repeat from 1. by selecting again only half of the remaining plugins. Report results.
0 Vingen Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Hello, I'm encountering an issue where Dyndolod closes prematurely during the processing of Skyrim.esm (Tamriel). I followed BiggieBoss's guide for using xLodgen, Texgen, and Dyndolod. The problem always occurs at the same point, when processing Skyrim.esm. (I also use vortex and game version 1.5.9.7) I’ve already tried the following solutions: Running Dyndolod as an administrator Adding an exception in Windows Defender and Firewall Using Dyndolod both with and without xLodgen Lowering settings to low Running Dyndolod with and without the DLL Setting LockTexconv=1 and RenderSingle=1 Reinstalling Dyndolod Despite these attempts, Dyndolod still crashes at the same point. I've noticed that the RAM usage never gets close to my system’s maximum, so it doesn't seem like a memory issue. Additionally, there’s no log in Windows Event Viewer related to the crash. These are my logs: https://ufile.io/rq6dq4bk, https://ufile.io/0lkeq2xb, https://ufile.io/6it8bd5q Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Load the load order into xEdit, let it build the reference cache for every plugin, then check all non vanilla plugins for errors. See if that runs through.

I’m not totally sure how to interpret all of them. Is there a specific type of error I should be looking out for? Or should I try disabling any mods that show a large number of these warnings? This is the log: https://filebin.net/hj01cad2t88bk3ck (ufile stopped working for me)

This is the log: https://filebin.net/hj01cad2t88bk3ck (ufile stopped working for me) Upload the entire load log starting from the first line SSEEdit ... starting session Are you using a recent version of xEdit? Get 4.1.5m from #xedit-builds channel of the xEdit Discord. Redo the error check in case you used an older version. Start xEdit enter 000094E2 top left and hit enter to open the cell record -5,6 in Tamriel. Do the same with 000094E3 for -6,6. Check if they look OK. Report which are the last plugins (most right) to overwrite them.

I think somethings that I cleaned using "Undelete and Disable References" in an older version of SSEEdit caused issues to it (I was using version 4.0.4). The latest versions of SSEEdit and DynDOLOD would just close or crash without a warning message. I was able to gradually chip away by disabling different plugins, and after I did reinstall some of them, they worked fine again. Not really sure what went wrong, but probably a mix of version conflict and me being stupid while editing. Either way, thanks for the help beforehand — you definitely pointed me in the right direction.
0 BC1337 Posted May 26 Posted May 26 Hello! New to these forums but, have been using DynDoLod for a long time. Just recently an issue suddenly cropped up I cannot for the life of me figure out. So I have my load order completely set up and on this same load order I have run DynDoLod as normal just fine. Well I install Seasons of Skyrim and went through all the steps to get it going. And it actually worked fine the first time literally all of 5 days ago. Well then I noticed my save was getting a little wonky and I knew I had added everything mid save so I was like meh whatever ill start new. Well I added a couple of follower mods and a few others and then deleted texgen and Dyndolod output just because I wanted to make sure to regenerate it. Well now Textgen will run fine But, Dyndolod with DLC02Solstheim selected with seasons will just get to the point where it tries to do the atlas for that worldspace and then will just close. It doesn't give me an error in the log doesn't finish just closes. I have turned on debug mode but, then it will run for like an hour same with real time logging and it doesn't seem to want to stop (I haven't let it run for more than an hour yet with either of those on got tired of waiting) I have disabled all my recently installed mods and it did not help, if I do a new profile I can get it to complete But, that doesn't make sense to me because it 100% ran with seasons before the last few mods I installed and nothing else has changed except maybe load order? I'll post my latest log but, I genuinely don't have anything that pops up as an error unless i'm missing it. I have also disabled real time protection and windows defender and tried all different settings Also one weird thing to note I did try it once by just clicking high in the wizard and it did actually work but, I don't know if that properly does seasons since the install guid for seasons says to do it through advanced https://paste.ee/p/VagX7GYk https://paste.ee/p/ZhUxGS2n Hopefully I did that right i'm not good at the forum thing lol. Just let me know if I need to run real time logging or anything like I said just did let it sit for more than an hour because I dunno what the deal with that was.

No DynDOLOD log, debug log, realtime log and no Windows Event log were provided. See https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Post-Logs The Provided LODGen logs shows that object LOD meshes were generated for DLC2SolstheimWorld in 6 seconds without error. See answers for https://dyndolod.info/FAQ#Long-running-time-or-output-several-GB-in-file-size and https://dyndolod.info/FAQ#High-memory-usage-Out-of-memory Also see https://dyndolod.info/Help/Seasons#Out-of-Memory-errors and https://dyndolod.info/Help/LODGen#Out-of-Memory. https://dyndolod.info/Help/Seasons#Settings Use the Seasons checkbox in the advanced mode of DynDOLOD to enable the feature. The checkbox is only available if swap data for a season has been found and loaded successfully. The Wizard mode will not generate Seasons. https://dyndolod.info/Help/Seasons#Technical-Information For each season LOD meshes and texture filenames will be changed to *.[SPR|SUM|AUT|WIN].[BTO|BTT|LST|DDS]. For dynamic LOD ..\Seasons\DynDOLOD_[SPR|SUM|AUT|WIN].INI will be created in the DynDOLOD output folder so that dynamic LOD objects switch with the seasons as well. The DynDOLOD log reports what DynDOLOD generates. Also checking the output folder reveals if LOD meshes and textures were generated for different seasons.

Absolutely I apologize for no debug log, or real time just like I said for some reason running that was making it go from taking 15 minutes or less to generate to I waited almost an hour and it was still adding to the log, Is that normal do I just need to wait? I did try all the out of memory issues and all that as long as im adding it to the right spot in the Ini. I did texturecache. Changed the size to 8192. and changed number of threads and all that all seemed to do the same unless i'm missing an important one. I did check the output folder and it does have the seasons ini. in that folder weirdly enough I went ahead and made sure to try the wizard again to see if I could replicate it not working through advanced but, only through the wizard. Does that mean for whatever reason it should have worked? I'll try the steps again but, if the seasons ini. are there then it should be correct? Edited May 26 by BC1337
