TexGen is being terminated prematurely, suddenly closes

Question

Posted

So I tried to look around and search for someone with a similar issue, but couldn't really find a fix that worked. Apologies if I missed something.

TexGen stops responding and eventually crashes when it reaches the "Creating billboards" part.

No TexGen logs, but Event Viewer has this to say:

Faulting application name: TexGenx64.exe, version: 3.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x61d2f1a9
Faulting module name: TexGenx64.exe, version: 3.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x61d2f1a9

Faulting module path: C:\Faens C\Modding Utilities\DynDOLOD\TexGenx64.exe
Report ID: 835b9ca3-7c4d-4d3c-81cc-f79c3c6f1465
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:

Don't know if it is worth mentioning, but originally I had a different error message in the Event Viewer, but then I ran System File Checker, and now I get the above error.
Here is the one before I ran SFC:
Faulting application name: TexGenx64.exe, version: 3.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x61d2f1a9

TexGen_SSE_Debug_log.txt TexGen_SSE_log.txt bugreport.txt|
honestly i am frustrated with this ,i have never gotten a dyndolod error like this before

Delete all old logs in E:\DOWNLOAD\DynDOLOD\Logs\ and E:\DOWNLOAD\DynDOLOD\bugreport.txt

Download this test version of TexGenx64.exe from https://stepmodifications.org/forum/topic/20153-error-opengl-framebuffer-objects-unsupported/#findComment-282545

Run the test version as usual. Upload new log, debug log and bugreport.txt if issue persists.

So far all logs have been of the same old version.

Unless you upload the requested logs and bugreport.txt from the new test version and if the issue is not caused by something on your end, you are probably going to wait forever.

Problems rarely fix themselves randomly.

Keep getting newer test version from https://stepmodifications.org/forum/topic/20153-error-opengl-framebuffer-objects-unsupported/#findComment-282545 and upload new log, debug log, bugreport.txt.

hi sheson thanks for the update but still have problem, if i press reviewer grass texgen closes then if run without reviewer grass texgen displays INFORMATION wait for comment then closes https://www.veed.io/view/0a1cb790-259d-4921-9367-3a6e09163b67?panel=share

Please see https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Post-Logs which TexGen log and debug log and most importantly which bugeport.txt to upload.

When the "Please wait" message shows it writes the bugreport.txt to same folder where the TexGenx64.exe is.

When you close TexGen, it saves the TexGen_SSE_log.txt and TexGen_SSE_Debug_log.txt to the log folder inside the DynDOLOD installation

No error message, code, log etc. from any tool has been provided.

The log and debug log are saved when the program shuts down. Do not interrupt the shut down process so it can write the log files. While the new log is appended to older logs, the debug log is replaced every time. Keep a copy somewhere else for future references if required.
If there are no logs or debug logs because the tool is being terminated prematurely, check the Windows Event log for related messages. Add RealTimeLog=1 under [TexGen] or [DynDOLOD] in ..\DynDOLOD\Edit Scripts\DynDOLOD\[TexGen|DynDOLOD]_[GAME MODE].INI respectively. Then execute the tool again to generate the real-time debug log in the Logs folder in real time and upload the entire file.

It is unclear why you are posting a screenshot of Skryim.INI papyrus settings.

There is nothing about any Texconv error. TexGen is probably waiting for Texconv to complete texture conversion, which can take a while.
