Spike
First of all, thank you for all the work you have put into Step. I'm new to Step Guides and indeed modding in general, but I managed to get Step 2.2 installed and working around August time. However, a week or so ago - maybe a bit more as I don't play that often - Skyrim would simply CTD on start up. I did a binary chop on the mod list and discovered that the game would at least start up if I disabled Step Conflict Resolution Patch. At that point I realised that Step 2.3 is out, so I have attempted to follow the 2.2 Changelog and then the 2.3 Upgrade instructions, as well as completely re-installing the Step Patches, and the associated link to Kryptophyr's Patch Hub and another than I don't recall at the moment. Loot is not reporting any major issues, and as per instructions, I think that the ones it is reporting can be ignored. I am still getting CTDs on start up with the Step Patch enabled. I can't face the idea of wiping the entire MO2 folder and starting again. (It would be great if MO2 could export / import an entire set up script, as I believe Vortex provides). I don't know where to go looking for logs or anything else that might help me track down the issue. I'm not (yet) asking for fixes, but assistance in tracking down the problem. Thanks again Spike
z929669
Look at upper right of MO for the warning indicator. If it's colored, click it to determine what masters you are missing: Revisit those mod installation instructions. Test with a new playthrough instead of a save when launching. Spike
Thanks, Initially MO stated 'No notifications' but re-running LOOT then gave a few, and especially two for Step Conflict Resolution: # step patch - conflict resolution.esp - CRC: FA8D5706 - Load Order Index: 66 - Attributes: Active - Current Bash Tags: NoMerge, Actors.AIPackages, C.RecordFlags, Graphics, Keywords, Names, NPC.AIPackageOverrides, ObjectBounds, Sound, Stats, Text ## Messages - Error: This plugin requires \"RealisticWaterTwo \- Resources\.esm\" to be installed\, but it is missing\. - Error: This plugin requires \"RealisticWaterTwo\.esp\" to be installed\, but it is missing\. MO says that RealisticWaterTwo is installed and enabled. MO 'reinstall' didn't help - in the end I did MO 'remove' followed by 'install', which at least cleared the notification. I'll work through the other notifications, removing and installing.
