Changing mountain texture, do i need to rerun xlodgen? or just dyndolod?

i look it up on google and i found this tutorial also from this site SkyrimSE:2.1.0 - Step Mods | Change The Game (stepmodifications.org), as written in "When to When to Regenerate LOD" section of that tutorial there is a statement to my understanding is that i need to rerun xlodgen if i were to change texture but then after that its says

"This does not include grass, mountains or other objects on the landscape" 

iam not a native english speaker, so its just confusing, do i really need to rerun xlodgen or not? a simple yes or no will be appreciate

Whenever there are changes to the mod list that affect the underlying landscape: height, shape, textures, etc. This does not include grass, mountains or other objects on the landscape.

The answer depends on 

... knowing which exact texture it is that is being replaced. Lets assume by mountain texture, this is about the textures in the ..\Textures\landscape\mountains\ folder, which are typically used by rocky the mountains meshes. Well made mods stick to that folder usually.

... knowing if the texture is being used by an LTEX Landscape Texture record (which are used by LANDscape records for the terrain layers). The vanilla game only uses textures from the ..\Textures\landscape\ folder and none of the subfolders. Well made mods do the same usually.

So, generally the answer is, you have to run TexGen and DynDOLOD and not xLODGen if textures in ..\Textures\landscape\mountains\ are changed and you want (most) object LOD to reflect the changes.

ERM replaces vanilla models and retains use of vanilla texture paths. It provides optional textures as separate files, but they're just vanilla replacers. The Vanaheimr vanilla (aka, ERM) texture replacer changes /landscape/mountains/mountainslab*.dds and /_byoh/clutter/resources/stonequery*.dds.

Considering sheson's response, you don't need to regenerate terrain LOD (xLODGen), only object LOD (TexGen/DynDOLOD).

Also, using the latest Step guide is recommended as linked at the top of all our outdated, unsupported guides.
