Version Expired

Saint-XIV

Question

Serious question, why am I forced to update to a newer version when I've had 0 issues with the version I currently have? I honestly don't get, this is the first program I've ever seen that bars me from using the files, codes, and executables I've had on my PC for a while now. While my internet was out for almost 24 hours I decided I'd test some of the stuff I downloaded a few days prior when I started building a new LO, but got ****ed over when I tried to run texgen and dyndolod and was told "This version has expired. Use a newer version"

Use the "Copy message to clipboard" link instead of posting screenshots https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Copy-and-Paste-Text

See https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Use-the-Latest-Versions

https://dyndolod.info#DynDOLOD-3-Alpha
Always use the latest version. Using the latest version and to provide feedback or to report problems is a requirement to participate in the alpha test. Do not waste time using older versions or reporting problems with older versions.

See answers for Older versions? at https://dyndolod.info/FAQ

It is normal for free, alpha or online versions of programs to require to be kept up-to-date.

See https://dyndolod.info/Changelog to learn which bugs or issues have been addressed and what features have been added or changed in the last several months.

See https://dyndolod.info/Updating#New-DynDOLOD-Version to learn how to update.

The old version has not been deleted.
The old version is still being started.
The new version has not been installed.

I have deleted the old version entirely, every file, even the one in my downloads folder and downloaded the new one fresh. I havent started my skyrim playthrough yet so I have no save to update. Downloading it fresh, I am still getting this error somehow :(

I should mention this is a completely fresh modded skyrim installation, I followed gamerpoets video down to the science

DynDOLOD 2 does not contain such a check or message. If you see that message, it means a several months old version 3 Alpha exe file has been started.

Double check the file dates in Windows Explorer match the ones shown in the download archive.

After checking everything and deleting everything everywhere even in my recycle bin I got it running thank you!! Facing some stuttering issues in game now, working on that currently and ill make a proper post with logs

Ill have smooth 60 for 10 minutes and then my game bogs down to 15-30fps with stutters. I've been really careful installing only a couple mods at a time and testing things out to make sure nothings breaking, going to work on trying to pinpoint the source

The exe you were starting was the one being outdated. That makes it very easy to know which file/folder was outdated and needed to be deleted.
