So I recently installed STEP along with several other mods, and when I start a new game, everything works fine until I have to choose to go with Ralof or Hadvar. I chose Hadvar, but at that loading screen nothing happens and it loads forever. I've tried disabling some mods but nothing works. I was hoping someone could help me out.

(I'm going to upload my mod list and such soon)

A) Try removing the IntCellRef tweak from the INI.

B) Try removing the z-fighting tweaks from the ini.

Thanks, but I'm not sure what you mean exactly. Can you specify what .ini tweaks you're talking about?

A) Skyrim.ini general:

iLargeIntRefCount=262144

I think removing A should fix your issue by itself. Give it a try.

so apparently this tweak causes issues for lots of people. I think it has something to do with engine limitations... Might there be a note added to the STEP guide or the troubleshooting guide on the wiki?

Wasn't the vanilla set to 100 or 1000 or something really low? Maybe just lower it but don't remove the tweak from your ini because that could bring back crashes in larger interiors.
