Dyndolod warning of missing meshes

Soulmancer

Question

Would these essentially be invisible in game if they are placed objects?

I had no idea about these but running dyndolod does prompt warnings about a few placed objects that link meshes that don't actually exist.  including SWIFT, ELFX, Routa's Cabin, Dawnstar Sanctuary Reborn and Rayek's End

DynDOLOD 2.x reports missing meshes since several years with these messages at the end of the log:

Missing models were ignored by DynDOLOD.
Below is a list of base records with missing models which are used by references:
...
References using base records with missing models can cause CTD.
Install the missing meshes, then generate LOD again if LOD for reference using these base records is desired.

Missing meshes either show red exclamation marks or can cause CTD, depending how the meshes are used.

Hm unfortunately the missing meshes don't seem to exist at all in these mods.  one instance was just misnamed... the other ones are completely missing/non existent.  Sounds like this could be potentially hazard to stability then?

You'd think it'd be pretty obvious in game though? These are fairly well known mods.

That also depends if the base records are used by references in cells/worlds that the player can actually visit.

DynDOLOD only reports the missing assets that are actually used by references to cut down the number of the reported problems. The point is that any records errors are ignored by DynDOLOD so that the generated LOD mods is error free. (In case of missing normal maps the default map is used).

Typically errors should be fixed regardless of severity. A reference using a base record for a model that does not exist is pointless. I would just remove the references and base records if the model does not exist.
