I can't get nxm to be handled at all.

I cannot get the "Download with manager" feature to work whatsoever in Mo2.

I have done a multitude of re-installations, associating with nxm, using the nxmhandler.exe and resetting up the correct paths.

But every-time I get the same error (I should have attached a snip of it) on both Google chrome, and firefox.
I do have the uibase.dll file in my Mo2 files, I've checked.
Firefox at-least lets me choose what application to use when opening where as chrome dosen't. just uses the proxy and gives the error.

Just to be clear, I am not at all frustrated at Mo2 as a program, this is probably user error or something along those lines.

What version of MO2 are you on? You should at least be on Ver 2.2.1.

Where do you have MO2 Installed? MO should not be installed in any Windows UAC protected folders or Program Files folders.

This seems to indicate that nxmhandler.exe is running, but it can't find or load uibase.dll for some reason. As GSDFan indicates, the first step is to ensure you are not running Mod Organizer in a UAC controlled folder (like Program Files). If you are on Windows 10, you might also right click on nxmhandler.exe in File Explorer and click Properties. If you see an unblock checkbox, click it and click OK. Windows 10 can be a downright pain in the backside regarding security and misleading error messages. If you are using Firefox, go into Options, scroll down to the Files and Applications section (about mid-way down) and you should see a grid showing all the extensions Firefox can handle. Scroll through the list to find nxm. Click the box on the right (should be "Always ask") and verify the path to nxmhandler.exe is correct.

It shouldn't be in a UAC controlled area, I am going to make another installation attempt today in a completely different area just to be sure. (For context it was never in my program files, near my program files or near the skyrim installation)

I am always on the latest official version, so 2.2.1 as of like august 1st
