With the problems I'm having with DynDOLOD and Skyrim LE I decided to see what happens with Skyrim SE.
After adding the Resources etc. to my modlist in my MO2-managed SE system I ran TexGen from MO and found it found the 'Skyrim' folder in My Games, not the 'Skyrim Special Edition' one.
I then realised I have no idea how TexGen and DynDOLOD decide how to select the required folder in My Games and can't find any .INI file in the DynDOLOD installation package that seems to set it nor any documentation of a command-line. I know from reading the _Manaul there's a bunch of scripts for each 'game mode' but fail to see anywhere that shows how you set 'game mode' and videos I've seen such as GP's and DWM's have never even mentioned this aspect.
Quickstart says this:
Quick Start
Additional Glow LOD options are on the advanced settings only. While waiting for the tree and object LOD to be generated, check out the readme and then the other documents in the 'Docs' folder for advanced options and more information.
Configuration files and settings use the game mode as identifier. It is TES5 for Skyrim, SSE for both Skyrim Special Edition and Skyrim VR and ENDERAL for Enderal. Throughout the documentation substitute the 'x' like in xEdit.exe or the [GAMEMODE] like in 'DynDOLOD_[GAMEMODE].ini' with the current game mode."
but totally ignores how 'game mode' is established.
I know I'm stupid as I can't even get a simple 'vanilla' DynDOLOD going so I must have missed some comment in some 'readme' somewhere but how do I do this?
