Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

Neovalen, do you think a crash to deskktop during the initial loading screen is more likely related to my applying your setup to Skyrim 1.9? Or is there a better chance that I screwed something up during installation and patches? CTD at loading screen is usually a load order issue correct?

Just trying to figure out a starting point to trouble shoot this.

Thanks, Jason

Your problem is most likely due to using the beta version of 1.9 since alot of mods are waiting for full release before they make adjustments. Do a quick reinstall without applying the beta and run again and see if the problem persists.

Will make your troubleshooting a lot easier.

Does anyone know it its possible to recover the patch .esps if I deleted them in wrye bash???

Oh god I hope so lol

With the new show Racemenu Precache Killer out, are you thinking of adding mods such as Appachii or ther hair style (or warpaint, etc.) expansion mods back in? (Assuming of course that it works as advertised. Has anyone tried it out yet? Does it seem to do the job?)

I know I stopped using it because it seemed to make things so unstable - as well as not being particularly interested in glamor hair styles that conflicted wth my view of the generalfor the Dark Age setting of Skyrim. Nevertheless, if it hadn't been so unstable I probably wouldn't have bothered removing it from my list of mods.

In case anyone knows the mesh I'm having issue with is:

meshes/weapons/draugr/draugrsword.nif ... aka the Ancient Nord Sword.

In game it has a sheath but the nif doesn't have one that I can see in NifScope?

Any help appreciated.

Rpsgc put me in my place... lol.

I didn't realise I still had DeLarpification installed when testing and it ADDS a sheath... lol silly me. More progress tonight!

Apparently the NACMIM .swf file gives an error with the SkyUI update. He says he will have a SkyUI 3.4 patch when he gets better, but for now he thinks just disabling the warning should allow things to work OK.

He wrote:

"It has to be updated each time, sadly. I wish it didn't have to be! But even though it's a little more work currently on my part, it does help with compatibility.

Quote from schlangster when I inquired about the permission to make my patches:

...

- Each swf is embedded a file version that is checked against the current SkyUI core version. They have to match exactly, otherwise SkyUI will show an error reporting the version mismatch. Users can disable this version check for the map.swf in the advanced section of the MCM menu.

Because of that, it would be good if you could keep your modified version up-to-date with the latest SkyUI release, and that you make it clear to the users which particular SkyUI version this is for."
