Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

I made a LOT of patches right now. Mostly for Bring out your Dead (with Choice is Yours, RRR, IA6, IW, 3DNPC, and SkyRe). A BLESSING-Choice Patch, Ars Metallica-SkyRe patch, Better Skill Book Names-SkyRe, Cloaks-IA6, a HUGE Destructible Bottles-SkyRe patch, IA6-IW (just some NPC equips), IW-SkyRe, Impact Weapon-Enhanced Blood, and the biggest one, RUPPB-SkyRe patch. And a RLO General Patch, a lot of mods edit cells RLO edit (fog and light stuff), so I made only one esp.

Look at that beauty:

Altar-Choice Patch.esp

Ars-SkyRe Patch.esp

BOYD-3DNPC patch.esp

BOYD-Choice Patch.esp

BOYD-ESFC-IW Patch.esp

BOYD-IA6.esp

BOYD-RRR Patch.esp

BOYD-SkyRe Patch.esp

BSQBN-SkyRe Patch.esp

DB-SkyRe Patch.esp

IA6-IW Patch.esp

IW-SkyRe Patch.esp

IWIE-EB Patch.esp

RLO General Patches.esp

RUPPB-SkyRe Patch.esp

Cloaks-IA6 patch.esp

I will sort them and do a test run.

And WOW! It's a lot of trouble put SkyRe, RLO and other BIG mods in your already big list. :)

BOYD is the most pain cause it changes a lot of NPCs, as others mods do to.

ps.: note that some patches I made are for mods that you have both in SR, maybe I should show you what I did.

I may like to discuss about it with you when we have the chance.

I learning fast that thing.

Regarding some of these:

IWIE-EB Patch - reason I don't have one is I thought Enhanced Blood was more correct (why do they have hammer blood spray for unarmed hit?).

In any case, it just goes to show that sometimes... it's not worth merging. :) I try to capture that aspect of things in my guide as well. Glad you are getting a hang of things though!

I haven't decided how I'm going to decide gameplay mods yet in this update. Some of the overhauls still call to me... probably for after v1.0 is finished.

So this is the second time this has happened to me. I open up Mod Organizer and all the mods are out of place or in some cases deactivated when they should not be. Has anyone else had this issue? Sorting all this out again is extraordinarily frustrating.

I have not.... at least not with the latest versions.

I'm on v0.12.6 which is the latest version. The last thing I did was install relighting skyrim to test later. I hadn't activated it so it was at the bottom of the list when I closed it. 10 minutes later I decide to play it and now my priority looks like:

min: Skill Interface Retexture

1: Dawnguard Optimized

2: Hearthfire Optimized

3: Dragonborn Optimized

4: HRDLC1 Optimized

5: Underworld Dawnguard

6: Unofficial Dragonborn Patch

7: Unofficial Skyrim Patch

8: XP32 Maximum Skeleton -XPMS

And on and on.

Welp, time to go fix it again.

:/ that stinks. This time when you finish arranging it make a backup (Profile Menu > Copy)

Usually happens when you mess with folders inside the mods folder (like add, delete or change folder names) with the MO opened, only change it with MO closed or it will disorganize. I think that's the only moment I observed this error. Make constant backups and take care.

Please, everybody who can try to repeat this, if you can confirm it we can send a report so the mod author fix it.

Yeah... some changes are really minor, like what weapon and armor the NPC is wearing. Mostly IA and IW chanes are only this. And is weird like RRR NPCs already came with BOYD code right? :D

I am concentrating in making SkyRe patches, maybe you can use it in the guide if want to spare time looking for it. Some are reeeaaally big to just guide in how to pass 2 hours doing it, lol. I may try to contact mod authors if the patch is proven relevant, and people want. In this category falls SkyRe with Radiant Potions mainly, I realized I was really not experiencing Radiant Potions looking at the hundreds of models that SkyRe changed back to vanilla. :(

Dude, I played with my mods in tes5edit till 5 in the morning, LOL. I experienced some problems with tes5edit, like some records saving with errors, afterwards I checked all patches and correct the errors, maybe because was a lot of mods opened? Some bug...

Oh, and that BOYD-RRR actually does not exist x) I think the patch you cited is the only one that you use both mods.

Hello!  I've been following Skyrim Revisited for a while now (as a complete lurker, only joined the forum recently) and I am in awe of the amount of work you (Neovalen) have put into this guide.  Thank you and all others who have contributed to the project and to STEP as well.  That said, I would like to help, even if only in this teeny tiny little way.

I noticed--when going through my list of mods in MO for conflicts--that Brawl Bugs Patch (Compatibility Edition) is completely overwritten by Enhanced Blood Textures when all bsa files are unpacked; it leaves only the readme and the unused esp file so MO doesn't flag it as redundant.

On the Enhanced Blood Textures Nexus page, the author says "The bsa only contains jonwd7's brawl bug patch. You can remove it to use the standalone patch instead."  As such, would you recommend not installing the Enhanced Blood Textures bsa in favour of the standalone Brawl Bug Patch or just use the EBT bsa and not bother installing BBP in the first place?
