Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

I'm having a spot of difficulty with the instructions for Blood Barrels for Vampires - though they've worked for me in the past. Specifically, the editing of the content count in the second set of instructions:

Expand "Container" and select the "03002F9B" node.

Under "Items" look for "DLC1BloodPotion" right-click the "Count" record and select "Edit". Type "3" and click [OK].

Repeat this for the "03002F9C" node.

The problem is that selecting the 03002F9B node yields...well...nothing at all in the right hand side, except the words "[03] TS_BloodOmNomNom.esp". No count records. No DLC1BloodPotion. Nothing at all.

I've re-downloaded the file multiple times, including manual downloads from 4 different servers, and the result is always the same. I was hoping someone might verify that I'm not completely bonkers.

Okay about the shimmermist cave problem... sadly it seems to be a vanilla game problem!

Here is a screenshot from vanilla with only the cleaned .esm´s, no ENB.

Can anyone else verify this ?

Just type "coc shimmermistcave01" in the main menu and you will be taken to the cave entrance, there should be similar blue spreckles on top of the cave all around.

Been trying to mess around some more in the CK... but the problem is not there and as far as I can tell all the texture and mesh assignments are sound... I have also tested out a few other caves none have the issue.

Edit: Okay found out the reason... it is meant to be that way O_o Apparently it is supposed to imitate that there are some glowing rocks or whatever.. sadly they have just done an extremely bad job in the quality department....

I just downloaded skyrim from steam and will start following the "revisited guide". I'd really appreciate help from anyone who knows of a way to install "Skyrim Unleashed" and "Duel Combat" to make it compatible with the guide. BTW-didn't purchase the DLCs yet, but may do it in the future.

Cheers,

Yaan

You can just follow the guide as it is, then install those two mods last and run the skyproc patcher, Bashed patch etc. as normal.

They do not add any textures etc. and are on the BOSS masterlist so you do not need to do anything else.

Here I assume that you are not going to be using any other weapon or armor mods.

In general Skyrim unleashed is the most simple overhaul to get working.

That took care of it! Thank you for the insight!

Nice detective work, Aiyen! Thanks for tracking down the issue/root cause.

I walked in there and immediatley thought it was a texture issue...if that's how it is supposed to be, dear lord what were they thinking!?  :o_O:

I also find ACE (with Duel Combat) to be quite easy to implement - but it seems to be more of a rebalancer and tweaker mod rather than a complete overhaul.  I wonder if it migh be getting a bit long in the tooth though - (however there is a Dragonborn patch for it which seems to keep things up to date),
