Is AMB Content Add-On Considered Core?

Question

Posted (edited)

I'm a bit confused as to how the AMB Content Add-on is supposed to be handled. First, I don't see it mentioned in the step guide, however, I do see it listed on detailed instructions. From the searching around all I can gather is that it can be used, but then shouldn't be used with the Staff of Magnus hotfix? I would really like to use this mod, mainly because I really liked the idea of Skyforge Steel but from what I'm reading it is an issue? Like I notice that you turn off the ESP. Does that stop it from working?

Edit: Probably should have putting this in the Mods section of STEP, can someone do that for me if they agree?

Follow the detailed instructions for installing aMidianBorn Book of Silence.

Right after Book of Silence is installed, scroll down a bit and follow the instructions to download and install the Staff of Magnus Hotfix. When prompted for a name, name it "aMidianBorn Book of Silence - Unique Items" so it has the same name as the unique items mod and then select merge.

Finally, download and install the Content Addon and follow the instructions for MO user.

All of the instructions in the aMidianBorn Book of Silence page applies to STEP Core and Extended.

That's actually not quite what I was asking. I'm going through the guide and benchmarking the modded game by each step, just the Core files, and that's why I'm inquiring specifically if Content Addon was part of it. Because if it's Extended, then I won't worry about it until I go back and start looking through them.

Yes, all parts of the Book of Silence are part of Core.

Gotcha. Yeah I was reading through threads and know at one point there was some discussion so just want to make sure. But yeah, thanks for promptly getting back to me.

No worries. An off-topic tip as well: If you are installing Core first, then going back to install the other mods from Extended...it's not really meant to be done that way, but it is understandable if you are benchmarking.

Just make sure to order the mods in the left pane as per a full Extended install at the end. Not just the list of Core mods first, then Extended mods after. Also, make sure you remove the installed Core version of the STEP Compilation and reinstall it with the Extended options.

Oh yeah I knew that. I install them but just keep them inactive. Because yeah, that would case a lot of issues... I should of made that clearer.

And notes.... lots of notes...
