Please, suggest what could be cause of a seam in the water texture.

Question

I am trying to find a cause of a seam in water textures. I am using mostly STEP mods plus Phinix with Natural lighting and atmospherics esp file, True Storms, Expanded Snow Systems. If I run the game only with those mods plus Realistic Water Two, water looks fine. So far I checked TESVedit if Realistic Water Two esp records are being overwritten and found nothing. Mod organizer don't report other files being overwritten. If someone could look at it and perhaps recognise the problem it would be appreciated.

Where is this "seam"? I see the loaded water up close and the LOD water in the distance (they rarely look the same), but I don't see anything I would call a seam.

He may be referring to the point where the water stops being "wavy" and just turns flat, right side, middle of the photo. I'm not sure though.

It's right in the foreground, on the shore. Maybe it's more noticeable in motion. Texture on the left side is much less transparent. I thought that maybe some sound or weather mod overwrites cell edits by Realistic Water Two, since those different textures are around the dungeon entrance, but I see no conflict in MO or TESVedit.

Ok, it's caused by Relighting Skyrim mod. I don't know if STEP patches fixes that, I don't have Hearthfire DLC so I weren't eligible for the patch.

You sure? The only things RS changes in the exterior are lights and there aren't any lights in that area from what I can see. Now if it really is RS, I would look in xEdit for any water height conflicts and forward anything you need from RWT.

I am pretty sure. When I active only RS and RWT in MO I can reproduce the issue and when I deactivate RS it goes away. There is actually single lantern behind that bridge. Looks like RWT have a feature which makes water in lakes and ponds more calm, so it needs to change textures, while RS wants to keep vanilla textures.

I've also found another places with the same problem, in Riften docks and near that hunters camp under the warrior/wizard/thief stones.

I will try to make a patch with TES5edit.
