Is there a way to remove the book cover mod from the step patch?

I'm playing with triple monitors and the combo of the triple monitor fix and book covers removes all the book text. I can't remove the book cover mod because it is a master for the STEP patch. Can anyone point me to a tutorial that will guide me through the process of removing it from the patch.

Surprising to me that you can't read the text. You using something in addition to Flawless to get triple monitors working? Or perhaps some of the main settings can be adjusted?

 

Removing it from the patch is kinda difficult if you don't know how to do it already.
