FIXED: this worked 1. Alt+tab to desktop 2. Alt+tab back into game (a struggle all its own) 3. Combat music starts playing on its own 4. Open console and enter: removemusic MUSCombatBoss 5. Music fades out and normal tracks resume
-
Waayy into the game (which is stable) I noticed no more music is playing, but all other sounds work. It just happened and I don't know how to get it working again. The only thing I found on google was to verify the game cache, which I did and it didn't fix it. I have immersive music installed and it's been wonderful until the music just quit playing. MO doesn't show that it's being overwritten by anything.

My setup has been perfectly stable, and it played fine yesterday. Today however, when it booted up, the loading screens were running at 31 FPS and once it loaded it wouldn't go any higher than 16fps. This occurred on the main screen as well with the spinning dragon emblem. I checked my AMD graphics configuration, and all ini files per the step guide. I use the tweaks in the step guide and the recommended and suggested tweaks in Michael of gamerpoets videos and those mentioned in his vividian enb tutorial since I have that as well. Nothing is making a difference. The only thing I could find that made any difference was to disable the FPS limit (I did it in the enb in-game menu). Originally I had it enabled to limit FPS to 59.9 per the tutorials instructions. I'm not experiencing any issues with the limiter disabled and I really want to play right now so I'll continue with that for the moment. When I re-enable the limiter to 59.9 it again drops to 16 and won't go higher. And the mouse lag came back which I had previously fixed by disabling mouse acceleration. When I disable the FPS limiter everything is smooth sailing.

Can't improve enchanted items with Perkus Maximus
MeatMarket replied to MeatMarket's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Now most things are working right, but I'm getting an in game error message every now and then saying that the scripting engine is not working fast enough for frostfall to calculate my exposure. The problem seems to correct itself very quickly but I want to know if I need to remove some script heavy mods or something. It also seems that the iNeed eat/drink/sleep timeframes are getting confused as I'm needing sustenance more often than I should when the MCM settings are on default. -
Can't improve enchanted items with Perkus Maximus

Thanks, I used dirty weasels tutorial and it really was gold. (I'm rural and rely on my phone for Internet so video is difficult to watch; that's why I was asking for text based but it's a moot point now. I was able to download it from YouTube.) I reinstalled PerMa and its other bits, ran the merge patch, ran the bash patch, ran the PaMa patcher, then reran DSR patch, reinstalled leanwolfs better shaped weapons, then reran FNIS. Everything seems to be working in game now. -
Can't improve enchanted items with Perkus Maximus
MeatMarket replied to MeatMarket's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I'm pretty sure now that I didn't install perma and all that goes with it correctly. I will have to redo it and follow the video tutorial on the mods nexus page. If anyone knows of any better tutorials (possibly text based?) I'd be glad to know where to find it. Apologies for my original post. I'm sure Farengar would've called it a tedious question. -
Can't improve enchanted items with Perkus Maximus
MeatMarket posted a question in General Skyrim LE Support
After a Google search I realized it was the mod authors intent to allow the character to improve enchanted items by default without a perk, but I am unable to do so and could not find where anyone had a solution. I installed all the Perkus Maximus mods on the Step Perkus Maximus pack page. I don't know what to do to fix this. Does anyone know the solution. I'm pretty sure my only other mods affecting perk trees is hunter born. -
Slight cursor/head turn/look delay
MeatMarket replied to MeatMarket's question in Post-Processing Support
Thank you, that did everything I needed -
I installed Vividian ENB vivid default option following advice and instructions from GamerPoets tutorial. And I have a pretty good AMD build with 4gb VRAM and 16gb RAM. Also my game is configured for STEP extended. After the ENB installation I now have a small but noticeable response delay when moving my cursor in any menu and when looking/turning my characters head. Not stuttering, just a minor response delay. Do I need to reinstall with the performance option or make some ini tweaks to get rid of it. Unrelated: can I somehow remove the depth of field effect? I don't really prefer that feature.

Is this doable? Can I make separate bashed patches for separate profiles in MO? Rename it for the profile it belongs to and enable the appropriate one in its respective profile?
-
Wow, it just fixed my Skyrim. I just reinstalled SKSE according to the STEP guide and now the memory patch is working. I can finally go near Windhelm.
-
I'm having this exact same problem, memory blocks log reports its still still allocating only 256mb when the ini file has it set to 768.

MO can't parse unofficial skyrim patch
MeatMarket replied to MeatMarket's question in Mod Organizer with STEP
Thank you. That did it. The more you know... -
That fixed it. I must have grabbed the wrong updated archive before because it didn't have an executable. But I found the right one and now it works. I was able to apply the texgen script with no problems.

MO can't parse unofficial skyrim patch
MeatMarket replied to MeatMarket's question in Mod Organizer with STEP
Follow-up: I updated MO and LOOT and the error message in the lower pane of MO quit showing up. However, I still couldn't run the DSR patch. It still said Unofficial Dawnguard Patch was missing masters and to activate the USKP.esp. Again I tried re-installing the USKP and the other unofficial DLC patches and it still didn't work. Then I installed the previous version of the USKP and it finally let me run the DSR Patch. I don't know whats up with that but it's working now. Unfortunately I still can't run the DynDOLoD patch due to a different error I posted about on another thread, and I'm trying to resolve that. I need to update my TES5Edit.
