  1. So after many days of looking for the mods of SMC I finally managed to complete it. There result is this: It is indeed heavy as it takes up around 4,7GB of VRAM and over 5GB of RAM. To be honest it's quite bright for my taste of Skyrim so I will be changing my ENB shortly. For comparison without the SMC installed this is it: Now for some issues I encountered with SMC (as always): SMC is quite heavy and sometimes it can mess things up regarding meshes, textures etc. So here is one weird thing: [spoiler=NSFW] I guess it got censored hahaa Another thing I encountered was that the ENB in-game menu was invisible. The game also crashes during load if I click a mouse button or otherwise move around the 3D images of the loading screen. Also the LODs of trees were cut in half with the beautification setup but I fixed it by not deleting the files in the Skyrim Flora Overhaul mod.
  2. You're a saint!!! That's it!! I had done that before with the translation.txt but I couldn't remember!!! It got fixed! No more stupid $ signs! I know it says to disable it and I have. Hopefully they will update it. Also check Thronewolf's suggestion for the stupid $$ signs of the SoS mods. You should include it in the guide! it fixed mine!
  3. Doesn't have to do with Steam overlay at all. I've had this issue appear when a certain ENB feature is enabled. Can't remember what it was though. I'm using T.A.Z Enb with the latest version at the moment and the issue is there. Overlay or not. In my previous Skyrim mod setup I didn't have it (different ENB).
  4. I figured as much. Is it possible to actually change the filename SMC "sees"? Because in the SMIM part it still has version 1.97 while your guide uses version 2.03. I managed to find almost everything from the SMC list too, except Renthal's old texture pack :/ and some of EWi's.
  5. One more question regarding SMC. It says in every mod information page to look at the archive and get the specified mods. So far so good. Some of the mods are dated though, like SMIM and some of the entries have a "?" before the file name. Are these files optional? Do I need to remove the "?" to make SMC able to read these specific files?
  6. Hmm, I accidentally had the wic .esp loaded which kinda messed it up. Removed, rebuilt and it worked. Interestingly enough, without the beautification yet, my VRAM only goes up to 2-2,2GB outdoors. I guess I won't have crashes from VRAM overload.
  7. OK google was always helpful with me. How about my other question about Winter is Coming? It doesn't seem to be recognized in the CCO MCM. It appears greyed out...
  8. Also another question about Beautification. Some mods have been deleted from the Nexus for various reasons and they're not in the list NOT to download. Do I just go with what is available?
  9. Hmm at the CCO distribution lists in the MCM menu, the Winter is Coming mod is greyed out. Should it be that way?
  10. Yeah it was me again, seems I had unselected Ks Hairdo's Renewal mod from the left pane of MO by mistake. All hairs are there now. Another thing I noticed is, when you select the option to arrive by ship and then select the city of Raven Rock (ie Solstheim) the initial boat sequence is kinda weird. What I mean is, you can actually move the ship a bit with the WASD keys, even below water. I haven't played Solstheim in ages, but is that supposed to happen? When the ship docks you are left hanging in mid space, but you can get move around and eventually "land" on solid ground. Seems OK from there. Yeah that one hahaa, man I ran the hell of out there! Also is my stamina supposed to be running out so quickly with Requiem? I think I'll have to study its manual more thoroughly! Will be interesting to see how a dragon attacks with this thing! hahaha
  11. Woohoo! Finally got it to run. It looks amazing so far. I'm using the TAZ visual overhaul ENB; it seems so natural. I got my ass kicked by some ghosts in the initial dungeon. Is Requiem supposed to be so HARD????? A few remarks: 1. The SoS Civ/Wilds/Dungeon entries in the MCM appear a bit messed up having $$ signs in front of them; I remember having that issue in the past but I forget how to resolve it. 2. In the character creation screen, in the hair section, it has around 170 entries for hair type. Beyond the normal ones from the base game and the KS hairdo mod's the rest show the character with the shaved head, all 120 or so of them. Is that supposed to happen? Cheers
  12. Cool. I will check and give feedback.
  13. Well I usually am using ENB :) However I read that the guide was not going to be used with an ENB preset. So I opted not too! haha Now I'm going to go with my favorite ENB and obviously have to rebuild everything from Dual Sheath Redux and below. lol
  14. So I guess it's off to Grim n Somber ENB once again! :D
  15. Hmm in the guide it says to just install these three files. Should I just go ahead and install the whole of ENB?
  16. You just drag and drop the records between the esp files in the left pane of TES5Edit. It's easy :) as for the other question. When Tes5EDIT starts you right click the mod order and select NONE. Then manually select the 3 intended ones. The rest is up to TES5Edit. If you did that you're set.
  17. Yeah it is frustrating for me also, because the font/background sometimes escapes my eye :/
  18. No it crashed when I laid on the bed in the initial dungeon to go to my intended destination. It loaded for a while and then CTD. I will try leaving the dungeon normally or selecting a different destination. Heck I really want to see how Skyrim looks with this guide. The character creation models look amazing! ^^ If I get it to work I will go with the Beautification Guide as well.
  19. I don't use ENB (as per the guide) but I will give it a try. You mean problems regarding CTDs?
  20. lol I should check my eyes! I wonder why I didn't see that line. Anyway I did the whole guide (finally) and created all the patches accordingly. So I created a random character in the alternate life famous dungeon and selected to arrive on a ship in Raven Rock. However when I slept on the bed, the game crashed after a while... oh well. I will start over more carefully and then call it quits... these guides are a pain in the arse.
  21. Anyway, apparently in the Spice of Life - Forts mod folder there is an empty folder which has a .txt saying that some files should be in it: impextwall01.dds impextwall01_n.dds impextwall01_p.dds (delete if you don't want/use parallax) impextwall01ice.dds So I pasted them and it was solved. Also copied the [spice of Life - Forts]\textures\SpiceOfLife\Forts\NobleSkyrimForts Imperial folder to [spice of Life - Forts]\textures\SpiceOfLife\Forts\. Somehow DynDoLOD - TexGen was looking for it. No idea why...
  22. Here is the error message. That file indeed is not in the Spice of Life - Forts' Textures folder...
  23. Hmm the screenshot doesn't show. Weird. Dyndolod's Texgen returned a message about a missing .dds file in the textures folder. All the BSA files are loaded in the beginning of its log. something like ImpExtWall01_n.dds.
  24. So I'm at the DynDOLOD part to create the TexGen folder. The program runs OK, loads all mods no issues there. However when it starts to actually create the folder I get this message: Of course the .ini file(s) have the mentioned line in them. And I tried doing it with archive management off. Same deal. Any ideas?
  25. Ummm when I was making the Requiem Patches merged.esp I got a message about some NavMesh needing rebuilding in the Requiem Patches Merged file (??) :O_o: EDIT: Ah nevermind. Ignore works fine...
