  1. This may be a dumb question but I just can't figure it out. How do you rename and resort the executables in the launcher drop down menu? I currently have SKSE (default position I think) at the top of the list and I want to rename it to Skyrim SKSE. I go through the steps to do that but the next time I open MO it's back to SKSE. I've tried creating a new item in the list called Skyrim SKSE using all of the same details (paths, etc) as the original SKSE entry and moving it to the top of the list. The next time I start MO it's been moved to the bottom of the list (which is off screen for me). I've tried editing the ini file directly but that's somehow overwritten with the default data the next time I start MO. Can it really be this hard? Also, I have this issue where various SKSE type mods will throw messages/notifications on the load screens when I start the game.... some of them requiring a mouse click/acknowledgement before the game will continue loading. Obviously they are intended to be shown only the FIRST time you load the game after installing... and they worked just that way when I was using NMM. But with MO they show up again and again and again... every time I launch the game. I looked in the override folder to see if there was a config file of any sort there that might need to be packaged as a "mod" and placed in the left pane list, but... nothing. Any advice or insights would be appreciated. JD
  2. In my case, after pulling my hair out with this same issue, I was able to fix it by adding a final backslash to the argument path. eg, -o:"E:\Skyrim_DynDOLOD\xEditOutput\"
  3. They did. Thank you for the pointer.
  4. Hi I hoping for some help translating an error message that appears in my DynDOLOD MCM after an (apparetly) successful installation. The error is... dyndolod_tamriel_objects.json does not belong to this dyndolod.esp. dyndolod active world tamriel. I've read the FAQ and found this... Q: Skyrim: *.json does not belong to this DynDOLOD.esp A: Update the TES5Edit script files to the same version as the DynDOLOD.esp and the papyrus scripts. Make sure the *.json files and DynDOLOD.esp are in sync from the same generation process. ... which seems to describe the issue, but I have no idea what it means. I read through the documentation and watched the STEP installation video several times... including having it playing while I progressed through the installation step by step (as it were). I even uninstalled everything (again, IAW the directions, vids, etc) and tried the install again with the same result. Before doing so I made sure that I had the latest of everything, including all the prerequisite installations (TES5Edit, SKSE, Mod Organizer, Papyrus, etc). So first, can someone tell me what this error message means? Is it harmless or do I need to do something to correct it? What, if anything, is missing or not working correctly because of this? And if it does need to be corrected in order to achieve the intended playing experience, how would I go about doing that? Thanks in advance...
  5. Hi. 1st post here, and of course I'm posting because I have a problem <g> I've spent dozens of hours now trying to get DynDOLOD to work without success (everything seems to work, but the sky is black and everythig is dark at mid day). I'm on my third failure and I think I'm pretty much done with trying. Now I want to get it off my machine. I've already tried uninstalling like you would a normal mod and that failed as well. Is there any clear and concise documentation for how to go about restoring/recovering your game after removing DynDOLOD? BTW, I'm using NMM, not MO... I can find lots of documentation and videos for MO, but that doesn't help me very much. Assistance appreciated. JD
