  1. okay, and reinstalling the step compilation wont overwrite other mods? like, i can just reinstall it, let it get sorted by LOOT and place it where the old step comp was and then im fine? do i have to redo the bashed patch?
  2. So, I've installed DynDOLOD following the Guide in STEP wiki, but i made a mistake. In section 'generating DynDOLOD' step 12 says: 12. At the prompt, make certain only DynDOLOD.esp is ticked and click [OK]. But I read it too late and now i had both DynDOLOD.esp and STEP Core Patch.esp changes saved. Starting the game inside the Skyrim Main Menu will now crash the game at loading screen. Is there an easy way to restore STEP Core Patch without overwriting other stuff? Is this even the reason why I'm getting CTD now?
  3. Got it fixed, don't ask how. Just know i got it fixed. Lol.

I tried both 3.1.2 from the TES5Edit Nexus Page and 3.1.3 from the FO4Edit alpha page, both not working, even after redownloading.. both completely normally start up when i did not enter any argument, but as soon as the argumant contains the "-o:" prefix, i get that error code [267] saying the direction is invalid. tried everything you guys suggested so far. :/ is there a way to set the argument through tes5edit itself so i can just copy paste the needed files into the right directory?
  5. It's all exactly as listed above. I will try to start MO as admin though, let's see if this works. UPDATE: Doesn't work. Still the same error. :/
  6. Inside MO of course, but I now understood how Skyrim shadows work and can adapt to it. Before posting this thread I didn't know about the engine's own mechanic to balance shadow quality vs distance, now I do.. thanks guys. :)

So, basically for me setting an output folder is invalid? because this is exactly the copy of what I have entered in the Arguments field: -o:"C:\TES5LODGenOutput" I also tried -o:"C:\TES5Edit Output" -o:"C:\Games\TES5Edit Output" -o:"D:\TES5Edit Output" and i even tried to write the drive letters small. none of this works, as soon as I try to start up TES5Edit via MO, i get that error message.
  8. Hey, I am currently following the STEP:core installation guide and I got stuck at DynDOLOD. The Installation guide says that I have to apply a script on DynDOLOD via TES5Edit, but if I set an output folder in MO for TES5Edit like the wiki says, i just get this error message: failed to start process (directory name invalid. [267]) Seems like my MO doesn't like the "-o:"-prefix.. How do I fix that? EDIT: I'm very sorry, wrong category. Could some admin please move this topic into the MO category? :S Because I mistakenly thought this problem was TES5Edit related when starting the post.

  10. Hey guys, I've found this guide yesterday after deciding to play Skyrim again, so i started following the instructions to install STEP:core. At last I installed the mods in the 'Conflicting Graphics' section. Then, while quickly testing if everything is running well, I noticed that my shadows are very blocky ingame. I followed each step in the guide so far, i even double checked the steps, so I can't really tell what makes my shadows blocky. Of course I did the INI tweaks as the guide says first and I did them inside of MO, but there has to be a setting which still makes the shadows blocky, even on a 4096 shadow map resolution. Also, following these instructions didn't have any effect on my ingame shadows AT ALL. Strange enough. :/ I'll post my .INI settings in spoilers down below. Can anyone help me with this, since I'm not that experienced in modding and tweaking Bethesda games? If you have any questions which I need to answer in terms of finding a solution, feel free to ask.
