Because there is the generate bash tags script later on the guide. It turns out that the skill books retexture is the same included in FOOK v1-13 Optional Files that was recommended here and I have added in the past, no need for it.   5. Straightforward. I'll stay with FCO2 then, I wouldn't do a second playthrought anyway.
  6. Upgrading to FCO 3.01 in an existing save with NVR and FCO2 (NVR above FCO) doesn't seem to going to work, with or without NVR installed I get eyeballs in the far left of the eyes. Disabling FCO (2 or 3) esm causes my character to be invisible and in the ground.

  8. With a fairly old setup (2500K, GTX570 1,2GB, 8GB RAM) I get 50-60, you shouldn't drop from 60 with 970, something's not right

If the game isn't on a SSD, consider the hard drive also, my game freezes many times but it's normal because it's loading new things (e.g. sounds, models when switching weapons, etc) from the slow WD Green HDD it's installed on and I can hear it working Aside from this, with fairly old setup (2500K @stock, GTX570 @stock, 8GB RAM) but without the additional quests, F&L has excellent stability and smoothiness, I saw neither any crash nor any FPS drop.

Hardcore mode is a vanilla feature, you can disable and enable it anytime from the normal Gameplay Options but note that you won't get the Hardcore achievement if you enabled it in Doc Mitchell's house and disabled it anytime in the future. It's New Vegas - Enhanced Camera. I don't think anything should be removed, you can just not install anything you don't like (e.g. I didn't install additional quest because it's my first NV playthrough)
  11. What do you mean old-new script? I mean I followed the guide before the change with 1.9 merge script in FNVedit. I can pick cave fungus in HH and Mojave, haven't been to OWB yet. I agree 100%.

  15. Well my first encounter with MO is now with F&L, last time I tinkered with NV was in 2012 with FOMM and in 2010 with FOMM with FO3. This tip should be added and also if I haven't seen it is that to "Merge" in some plugins (e.g. a main file and merge a fix) the fix must be installed with the same name as the name which was the main file installed. Offtopic, I don't get why many say that MO has a bigger learning curve than FOMM or NMM, I found it much more easy to get into and I feel very safe knowing that whatever I do can be very easily reverted as mods are not interlaced on top of each other, one delete and you're done

  18. Well the mod author could improve that (make e.g. a roaming team of technicians instead of having too many, add some dialog options to NCR NPCs or even voiced dialog) but the main idea makes sense at least to me. What parts of it are broken?

It makes sense because NCR controls the dam, having the power to have an electric military department with power stations with technicians all over their controlled area (I found at least 3-4 of them). If Legion defeats NCR on the 2nd battle of dam I doubt these a-holes will care about street lights though lol I am against a simple street lights mod, where does the power come from? About water, Mojave desert wasn't hit by many nukes like the capital of US Washington (Soviet/Russian ICBMs are aimed at known ICBM launch sites mainly and secondly on main cities, not deserts), the area is not irradiated as is the one on FO3 and there is a huge supply of clean water supply (Lake Mead) when in DC a whole war has waged for this exact purpose, clean water. Well when I started F&L from scratch 6.9 was already out so I just picked Mod Organizer version and the process was identical (except extra quests like DEIMOS and Bounties because I did not install them), no problem with 110 hours of playtime And a direct comparison of NVSkies vs RWLE (Main + Interior Weather Sounds optional file) on morning, 2pm and night.   20. They weren't exactly frequent, as I said IMO use underwear for all and also Pipboy fix, hairy patch (much more realistic) and dirty raiders (better than tatoos). Adult (nude and sexy legion) could be added as optionals. "Bypass the unnecessary startup splash screens" is the best tweak I've seen so far :D

CTDs on Camp Searchlight were more serious than glowing ghouls from FCO, random with no explanation and "save resistant", if you trigger something (I don't know what) your game will permanently crash on searchlight. I googled a bit and found this which is the solution https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/293309-so-my-game-seems-to-crash-in-camp-searchlight/&do=findComment&comment=15791620 1. SAVE before going in direction of searchlight at all -. All of quests (Logan and irradiated NCR dogtags) and looting must be done on the same instance, do not exit the game before finishing everything there 2. Go to camp (preferably approach from husbandry farm, not where the NCR post is) and DO NOT GO INTO ANY BUILDING. Kill everything, including the miniguns that are controlled by terminal you can hack (NCR troops won't care). NCR troops don't cause any problem, do not kill them. Take note of geckos on the area with trailers, some ghouls near east mine and some ghouls to the right of trailers 3. After every kill, open console, select each corpse (after you looted it) and enter "zap" command 4. After town is clean, go to loot house with ghoul NCR (pickpocket the tag from him), east mine with vipers and church basement (Sneak skill book there) 5. Complete the quest with NCR tags by talking to NCR sergeant, you should have all the NCR tags by now after killing everything 6. Do the quest with Logan That's what I did and no CTD occurred, traveled back and no CTD again.

Serious bug, the Glowing One esp from Fallout Character Overhaul is broken (I've managed to see glowing ghouls very bright/all green, a major FPS drop and then CTD) and in Camp Searchlight it will cause 100% CTDs. Put the esp in Optionals and remake the bashed patch to fix it. I will enable it after I'm done with Searchlight and note if it causes problems anywhere else Also two mods I use outside F&L, nothing major, just making Legion assasins have appropriate equipment for player's level (not Centurion with 18 DT against level 8 player lol) and to make them not attack every 1 day and become highly annoying https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/43030/? https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/45303/?

Well I skipped quest and location additions because it's my first NV playthrough and also sortomatic because for the whole game I use the 3 boxes in the trailer in Goodsprings for Weapons/Appearel/Armor - Aid - Misc (similarly to lockers in Megaton in FO3), not really familiar with sorters (PN sorter works alright) I didn't swap order, I hid (right click => Hide in Conflicts tab of NVR) the 10-15 files that were being overwritten by NVR Another smaller bug I discovered now, on unique Plasma rifles Q35 and Q41 this might happen https://i.imgur.com/VJi2Sdf.png https://i.imgur.com/yNSFftT.png https://i.imgur.com/k113gqS.png https://i.imgur.com/27r6G4p.png doesn't happen on normal rifles https://i.imgur.com/s62HULd.png It's from force attack (hold LMB) and Dynamic Crosshair from PN, enable and disable it (or in reverse if you're playing with it) to fix it

Yes, normal before going to Novac and this after talking to Ranger Andy https://i.imgur.com/IqUIVpO.png By the way, also another bug I've encountered playing is one NCR Ranger spawning outside REPCONN test site, despite having Accepted rep with NCR he is hostile and if he's killed he respawns. Got rid of him with disable command https://i.imgur.com/NVyFHCy.png And also another bug is double eyes on certain characters at start of the game but it can easily be fixed by hiding the conflicting files from New Vegas Redesigned that replace the ones from Fallout Character Overhaul. Generally excellent stability, not a single crash or hang and only these fixable minor bugs until Level 21 I am now.
