  1. Yeah as a proxy library, and apparently ReShade now works this way as of 0.19.0 (its up to 0.19.2 now) so thats nice. Means ENB presets can be used with ReShade now.
  2. I'm not quite sure really, according to the wiki "YES, ENBoost is needed by EVERYONE, including those that do not use ENB!" I just wish this was explained. It makes no sense for someone not using ENB to be using ENBoost as it would overwrite the d3d9.dll that comes with something like ReShade. It should probably be clarified that yes use ENBoost if you either don't plan to use shaders at all or plan to use ENB specifically. As to use them both I believe ReShade needs to be loaded as a proxy library. (Check the Compatibility section there, has instructions)
  3. Personally I'm not even using ENB, I'm using ReShade + SweetFX 2.0 and I've created my own preset (as converting any is a PITA) Super simple to setup, download the ReShade + SweetFX 2.0 pack on their main page, extract, run the setup, select fnv4gb.exe and dx9, done. At that point you just need to make a preset by editing SweetFX_settings.txt. Works just fine running fnv4gb through MO. Here is my settings in case you just want to see it working when you start it up. And some screenshots: https://a.1339.cf/ngnwhr.png https://a.1339.cf/chbcpc.png https://a.1339.cf/oxuedc.png https://a.1339.cf/arffti.png https://a.1339.cf/umuvzk.png As you can see I'm not going for heavy shadows (Would be overly dark with this mod set) or super fancy effects, I like clarity and performance myself. Do not try to install if you already have ENB, you would need to remove all ENB files first. ReShade seems to have depth buffer access in FNV so I might try getting a nice DoF going and possibly SSAO.
  4. I just realized you wrote a guide for Millenia's guns that aren't included in the main pack after grabbing them and merging them myself. I think I'll link your tutorial instead of the quick and dirty one I wrote since it includes removing the cheat guns. Getting a weird non-serious issue, I had the generic sniper rifle and put a scope mod on it but every time I would attempt to use the scope it behaved as if it didn't have one and made me stare at the lens as if it was iron sights. I don't believe you should even be able to put a scope on a weapon with one already attached. Is this a WMX specific bug? (I do not have OONV installed just in case that is an issue)
  5. The VGU packs? Looks like someone uploaded them elsewhere, good news for me I guess. Oh wow it really is huge, 1.56GB of nothing but armor. Edit: Thought I would mention this as I was just rebuilding my patch after adding some mods, it seems Wrye Flash NV has a habit of re-enabling the Lock Times option every time you restart it, might be a write permissions issue under Windows 8.1 (Permissions are a PITA on Win 8) Edit2: And there is no Downloads folder containing a Bashed Patch, 0.esp in the newer version, there is however a Templates directory containing one.
  6. Ah that makes sense. I noticed a few of the mods in the guide were uploaded somewhere other than nexus (due to them being either unavailable on nexus or removed) is there some archive elsewhere that is worth knowing about? Its a shame that sometimes mods just disappear; especially when others require it, sometimes you get lucky and can find them elsewhere (like Lings on Moddb). Looks good, I've played around with Nevada Skies and the effects and ambiance are great. Really adds a layer of tension when the weather is so bad you can't even see the enemy creeping up on you. RWL seems nice, the ease of install and minimal nature will definitely appeal to some.
  7. Alrighty. Whats is your opinion on OONV? I was kind of surprised to not see it in the guide as pretty much all the aspects of guns was covered besides the optics. And what about weapon packs Like AG Supplementary Uniques and Project Weaponry? Too much bloat for this setup?
  8. Just thought Id make an account and say thanks, I stopped playing FNV for quite a while (2-3 years) and could barely get a modded setup working correctly. (Cleaning, patching, merging.. What!?) After going through your guide I not only got a nice cleanly running setup going I now know how to use all the latest tools properly. I was quite surprised really, initially I had gotten a ton of mods installed on my own that seemed to run correctly with a few errors but performance was horrible, now via the guide I have almost as many and everything runs smooth. One thing I was a bit confused about, after creating the bashed patch there is a set of plugins that have been disabled and I have left them that way, after reading the posts above I re-enabled Misc Icons and Arenovalis. Was that set of mods (The automatically disabled ones) meant to be disabled after making the patch? As re-enabling them is not mentioned after the patch guide.
