  1. anyone looking for this issue in the future: enable the option to install Read Me.txt.
  2. The only "conflict" NSF would cause is that you don't get your first books until after Sarthaal, which NSF delays by eight days. There are other delays later in NSF that might also affect when you could move to the next semester. It doesn't change any of the quests, so it won't cause any gamebreaking conflicts.
  3. That has been suggested before, but I stuck with it because I felt there has to be some sort of payment. The player is getting room and board as well as very expensive books, so it could be looked at as living expenses, just as you said. If there was a way to implement a different sort of payment (going along the idea that those going to the college are required to add to the group knowledge) that wouldn't require a bunch of boring standard quests, I could possibly add it.
  4. just remember to bring a lot of cash. ;)
  5. yeah, i was being facetious about the console. the vanilla game is kinda boring - i have more fun playing with mods. :)
  6. Sounds like a good *cough* https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56699/? *cough* time. :)
  7. Hi! I had heard of STEP, of course, but my introduction to this site came when I followed my hubris and googled my own mod to see if people had heard about it. My rl name is Josh, jvr2400 on Nexus, JFraser on LL, feel free to toss me a wave in either place. I am a very very basic-skilled modder and one of the legion of players who have had Skyrim for years but have never finished the game (or even gone past character level 36) - I keep finding mods I want to try and therefore starting over. Perhaps I should have gone console. ;)
  8. I've already got two, I can easily add another if you want to do so. ;) They are both uploaded. Yay! Please note that I am not in any way attempting to force my mod into this amazing project, and I realize it was in no way guaranteed, assured, or even hinted at that adding voicing to CDW would qualify it. I just liked the suggestion of having Jordan voiced. :)
  9. So, I now have not one, but two voice actors for Mhoram, both of whom finished at the same time. Once I get time to mod again, I'll upload two versions, one for each. :)
  10. That, plus his commentary on the environments. "The key to these doors is always on some guy five levels up. What kind of sense does that make?" Something like that.
  11. Yes, no doubt it looked prettier. And I enjoyed much of the storyline, especially the parts where Kyle made snarky comments.
  12. Ah, the good old JKA days. Although I still prefer Outcast for dueling - they made DFA's too spammable in JKA. I appreciate the offer. I have a new guy I found on Nexus who will hopefully be more reliable, but if he also disappears, I'll definitely come running your way. edit: I do have JKA via Steam. I'm going to try Deception when I get a chance. If I can figure out how to install it via Steam...
  13. that one is, yes. :) i remember writing that. i don't remember which mod it was. so tired of working 16 hours a day - i haven't had a chance to do any real modding in over a month now. grr!
  14. That's where I found the guy who has disappeared. Guess it's time to go shopping again.
  15. Um...I'm not sure. I haven't looked into how to create voice files. Time for me to hit Google, apparently.
  16. Thank you. "Good" as in "sounds like a high elf," not as in alignment.
  17. Hi! I appreciate the consideration. CDW is supposedly being voiced, but I haven't heard from the guy in quite awhile. Might be time to find someone else. Know anyone who does a good male high elf? Also, there is a clean version on Nexus. I just threw together the LL version for that particular audience.
