  1. I have a question regarding FO4Edit... I set it up in MO2 (running under Win10) and fire it up - it only shows Fallout4.esm and none of my MO-added plugins. I've checked the wiki and it is a bit dated, with no instructions on fo4edit. I checked the FO4Edit comments section on their Nexus page and they just give a shrug in the sticky when it comes to MO, but say something along the lines of "It is not configured properly..." which implies that it DOES work if you have the proper configuration. Trouble is finding that configuration. Can anyone help?
  2. It does - thanks.
  3. I've found a few things...some might call them errors or ommissions...wrong with SR:LE First is there were several mods where "Do not install xxxxx.esp" was marked as part of the install instructions. When I followed this and check in MO, often the BSA files were not loaded (checked) - may want to add instructions to either manually check them or (if no scripts, etc., are included) to unpack and hide the BSAs to take a loose files approach to those particular mods. The Ruffled Feather mod includes WATER and is replaced/overwritten later by RW2. Has this been tested for conflicts? Also with Ruffled Feather, might want to advise that the user look at all the mods included and cherry-pick if desired. I know some of the mods included in his collection were 'voted off the island' in my mod-outs for various reasons. Also, IIRC, Community Uncapper has to be manually edited to taste to work right instead of working just out of the box. I could be wrong on this. Lastly, are the body mods suggested in SR:LE SFW or NSFW? Folks like me (who have small kids that may watch them play) might appreciate a small note regarding that and/or a SFW option. I know from experience that Skyrim bodies are damned hard to find SFW versions of at times unless you're a fan of Vanilla+ :( Didn't write this to gripe/complain. Just playing devil's advocate for people new to Skyrim modding who blindly follow STEP guides for their ease of use. :) Writing a guide for TTW myself, so I know how much hard wortk it is and was following SR:LE to do a nice mod-out of Skyrim for my 'between wiki work breaks'.
  4. Cool - I thought I was the only one who did this. :D GMTA
  5. Great advice, all of it, especially about the xedit version. I will correct that immediatly, as 3.0.32 was the most recent version that I could find, the one I linked to, and the one that I have been (erronously) looking at. And yes, the FO3Edit is there simply as a 'look, but don't touch' tool as well as an FO3 mod cleaner (NOT the masters). For the most part, this guide is going to focus on mods that already have properly cleaned and converted ESMs, for end-user ease of use. Like I had said in the TTW chatroom a few days ago '...for folks who would rather go to a mechanic and let a professional fix the problem than tinker under the hood and possibly break something...' (I go by chaophim on there) Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and so yes - a lot of the instructions are going to come from TTW threads pertaining to certain mods. TTW is an overhaul, which means 'lots of changes' - helping people do the delicate work the right way instead of just taking a 'throw and go' approach to it. ;) Again, Roy, thanks for the help and if you see me say anything wrong, feel free to slap the back of my head and set me straight.
  6. Will do! Thanks. Been dissecting your formatting a bit and tinkering with the code just on my username page - still working on creating the actual subdirectory, but RL seems to intrude every time I sit down and crack my knuckles to learn. LOL
  7. While I know that these are one or more guides in the planning stages for TTW, I thought I would make one as well, since the guides are really tailored toward both personal tastes and 'my game works with these...yours should as well' newbie-friendliness. This guide is not meant as a be-all-end-all definitive guide to modding Fallout: New Vegas for a Tales of Two Wastelands playthrough. It is just the way that *I* do it. Feedback welcome - I'm thick skinned, so flames won't hurt me...save your digital breath if that's all you wanna do. https://wiki.step-project.com/User:ShadowWhisper/BestOfBothWorlds
