  1. Alright, I'm just making sure. I don't know if it's necesarry, but maybe something could be said in the guide? The way it looks right now, it is as if it would be a sin to install a patch that is "not supported by step." Makes it seem like everything would break :/ Thanks anyway
  2. So this happens a lot but to give a quick example: The closer quivers and longer arrows mod provides a patch for many weapon mods including Immersive Weapons. I'm going to be using Immersive Weapons. So should I deviate from the directions of STEP? How am I supposed to a get a bunch of mods working, mods that have been patched by a the authors of a lot of the mods listed in STEP? Apparently STEP will work with ANY mod setup but this seems illogical. Another example: CCO provides patches for Realistic Needs and Diseases and for Interesting NPCs, but we shouldnt install them to adhere to step, which works with ANY modded setup. Can someone help me out :/
  3. I think it would be very beneficial if the guide had some sort of page that listed all the rules you should put into loot for the correct load order. It help a lot since you could quickly reference the rules instead of having to go back and check every single "Detailed Instruction Available" to which ones need a Loot rule and which ones don't. Sorry if this is already available, I just haven't found it on the STEP guide it's scary going to through checking for rules because you might miss one.
  4. Yup priory of the mods I'll ignore it, thanks.
  5. I keep getting these warnings from Mod organizer. Should I just fix, or is there something I can do to maintain the order given by STEP?
  6. Question: Why doesn't STEP have Safely Load as a core mod?
  7. I think this is probably a good idea. I think that the STEP patches should be modular. I guess maybe that's a big change but it would help a lot and make it a lot more meaningful opposed to "use this if you have all the core mods" So something like this: "This step patch fixes the issue 'Bring out your Dead' has with 'The Choice is yours' If you make all these small but modular patches and fixes, people can pick and choose exactly what they need and all these problems can be completley extinguished.
  8. It's no problem. I was pretty annoyed since I've been working on modding my game for 3 days straight (using STEP as a base) I realized that I messed up the entire process at one point and so I had to restart. So this time I really wanted to get it exactly right.
  9. All I ask is that you add something like this: "Only users who are using the STEP Core patch can not install this mod. If you aren't using it, then do install the mod." Word it differently but you get the point. The only thing better than being specific is being more specific.
  10. I assure you that I've read every single word thus far. I suppose this is the easiest example. https://wiki.step-project.com/Even_Better_Quest_Objectives#Recommendations "The Paarthurnax Dilemma (Unnecessary if using the STEP Patches)" Yup, I am using the Step patches, the patch I'm using isn't covering the Paarthurnax Dilemma. Woops. No I'm not convinced by your reply. This is easily fixed anyway. I'll give it a try. Thanks
  11. I went along with the guide assuming that the Step Patch will add some of the mods listed. But as it turns out, the combined HF patch only covers 3 of the mods that were on the list. This isn't good. The guide can't strictly assume people are doing the core install. Please fix this and if someone can tell me which mods provided patches. It's very disheartning to get through all those mods and then find out that you are going to have to go back and check stuff because you weren't informed of what certain things would or wouldn't add.
