SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn
Thenatural replied to Darth_mathias's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Not really specific to this guide, but I am having a weird issue (so is my fiance, who is currently overseas and on a completely different machine using a totally different ISP and hardware setup) where I am getting a redirect error when trying to click and link to the nexus on the guide. This is happening with paul's guide, ultimate skyrim, and even the links from step and neovalen's older guide. I was just wondering if anyone else was having similar issues this morning. I was able to follow the guide for most of the night yesterday, but now I can't access anything when clicking on a nexus link from anywhere. -

So I had the CTD on save issue, and I can say with confidence that it has nothing to do with the Actorvariations.txt. I was, however, able to immediately solve the problem by removing the DX_Imperial_Gear and other two records from the CR patch, re-running the reqtificator/relinker/actor scripts. I also had major issues with the floraborealis mod. I haven't been able to open it up the CK yet, but once I removed it from the TAFM merge, things were much better on my end. -

All good, brother. I'll probably just stick with the patches and rework a preset to my liking. Much appreciated. -

Well, I fear I am at an impasse with the guide, after reading the guide thoroughly before downloading the first mod, I was thrilled to see NLA being supported, as I have had issues inserting my own weather/lighting into some other mod packs. From what I can tell while searching in this thread, CLARALUX is no longer supported, but that seems to render the entire optional WLSO page obsolete then, I'd imagine. If I follow the main page, that means I would be installing CoT along with NLA, which doesn't make sense to me, and I would rather just use ELE-Lite+NLA as it's my preferred setup with some tweaks to the ENB. What are my choices here? This section of the guide is incredibly confusing and I am really hoping that I didn't just waste multiple hours a day for the last three days just because I didn't notice the missing Claralux patches in the core pack beforehand. Should I just ignore the optionals page completely and install normally? With the combo CoT+NLA? -

Is it okay to use the DBM unofficial patch version 1.16.5 istead of 1.12? It's often hard to tell if this was overlooked because of rapid updates to the file or if v1.12 is the intended version. edit: There is also no Sofia patch in any of the patcher downloads. -

I just looked through all of the various SRLE subguides with misguided searches. Can I give you a hug? -

The screenshots showing the configuration of Merge Plugins are down on Neo's guide. Can someone give me a quick rundown of how to configure it? -
[Mod Organizer 2/SSE] Is there something I may have missed?
Thenatural replied to Thenatural's question in Mod Organizer Support
For a number of reasons, a few of which are directly related to gaming and optimizing your PC, you might want to unhide all hidden folders. In windows 10 you can do this by opening up explorer, selecting Veiw, then navigating to folder and search options, then under the view tab there you can checkmark the box to show hidden files/folders. -

I was using the portable install method, and had tried reinstalling a couple of times but the LooT issue persisted, however, after trying a third time last night, I was able to get loot to function correctly, I have no idea how this happened, but it may have been not reinstalling LooT, and leaving the original LooT install in place before reinstalling MO2, but I don't know. However, my ini changes within MO do not affect the game, I still have to use the inis in the data folder. I test this by using the sintrosequence line to test, and it only skips the beth logo when the line is adden to the ini in the documents folder. I agree, the option has caused much confusing with memebers of my discord channel. -
[Mod Organizer 2/SSE] Is there something I may have missed?
Thenatural posted a question in Mod Organizer Support
Recently I decided to get back into modding, and until now, have been making small little guides for NMM, mostly for friends to help get them off and running with SE and a small amount of mods. A week or so ago, I decided to give MO2 a try after hearing about the most recent beta release working very well for quite a few people. I installed it using the manual installation methods I use to use when installing a separate instance of MO1 for testing, and for a while, things seemed to be good, but I am running into a handful of issues that can be worked around, but some of them I don't see being mentioned on the forums, and I feel as if I must have done something terribly wrong during installation. Right now, MO2 recognizes SSE, I have LooT, SSEEdit, FNIS, and Wrye Bash running through it and putting things (bashed patch, FNIS info, Backups, etc) where they should However, MO2 is not locking when LooT is running, and my changes to the load order are not translating to my MO2 load order, which I can, of course, work around, but I'd rather not. Also, my ini changes to my current default profile within MO2 do not have any bearing on the game. Only when I change them in the Documents folder do they change. Are these issues that are common? I have tried to look around for a known issues/workarounds thread, but I haven't had any luck. Thanks folks! -

How devastating would it be to remove ELFX exteriors as a master from the CR or loading a fake? I want to show off the build, and use different ENB presets, but ELFX is tying my hands, -

It looks amazing! But also, isn't it incredibly unlikely that the SE will be worth switching to for people who mod for quite a long time? I mean, fallout 4 still doesn't have anywhere near the amount of tools, resources, etc available to the skyrim modder. Won't most of us be sacrificing a lot by making a switch? I don't plan to, at least not until I am 100 sure I won't be giving up 50% of my mods for a chance things might run better on the 64bit binary. -

So I removed the SRLE fading pride, and everything looks phenomenal. https://imgur.com/a/tolAl Couldnt find the shot of ysolda in good light, but the difference (to me) is night and day. -

I just loaded up an old save w/ the same load order and I can confirm they all look the same. The skin quality between the men an an women, in every single case, is terrible, and the face just look... off. Even when I make a character, the men just look so much better. -

I just started a new playthrough, with the intent to stream and show people how awesome this setup is, and I am having major issues with how the bijin's npcs are looking. A bunch of them clearly are just no Bijin-ized. Is there something blatantly wrong with my load order? https://modwat.ch/u/TheNatural -

If you don't mind me asking, where did you end up having it your load order? Just a bit curious as to where it should go with all of the fixes/merges/CR stuff with the default SRLE:LotD :D -

I'm really looking for somehing specific to whiterun that I can just drop in a build. -

I'm using about 3.3-3.5 with the full version of both Noble and Vivid landscapes with imingrasssize down to 70. I only like to add things to whiterun, it seems much too barren for the trade capital of skyrim. -

Speaking of city overhauls. I was wondering if there would be any major conflicts with mods like JK's Whiterun with the current build of SRLE: LotD, obviously mods that touch Arthmoor's would cause problems, but I would like to add a bit more spice to whiterun, in particular, and don't want to drastically upset the balance of things. My current build is incredibly stable, I just have some VRAM space to work with. -
Lowering it is only better if you do not have the VRAM to spare. There are quite a few people who use 768mb+ on stable builds, granted they have the space to do it. With my older card, my issue wasn't pure power, but VRAM, my 780 ti only had 3.1GB, so keeping that value as low as possible was very important to me. As for crashes, in general, Skyrim is going to crash, it's just going to happen. You could have someone with 40 mods, and a wonky save, crash 2 times in an hour, and someone with 400+ mods who crashes once every 8 hours. An unfortunate reality of modding skyrim is the best way to build a stable setup, is being fastidious in your preparation and installation, and then just do it, learn from your mistakes, and do it again. Eventually, you'll be able to troubleshoot a problem before it happens, and you'll be modding the game to it's limits, and you'll be able to resolve conflicts before you even make your character. It just takes time. Read everything you can, read as many guides as you can. The last time I made a really complex build, I went and read through 4 or 5 guides that were pretty complex, just reading the various takes on things like ini settings, mod settings, ENB use, etc. It can be invaluable.

It's an amazing feeling to get a build like this up and running, even more amazing to lose yourself for 5 hours playing it without a hiccup. I have known about LotD since it's release, and am pretty glad I stayed away from the details for as long as I did. This setup compliments it perfectly. -

The Ordinary Women states to use a USLEEP version. Is that a different version than the one contained in the Ordinary Women archive? EDIT: Okay, it looks like the ordinary women usleep patch (the one from the link on the ordinary women description page). is no longer in the database. -

What about NPC Retextures Merged? Is there a simple way to remove the mizzog esp? I guess I could just merge them myself, if need be. I would just have to redownload all of the mods, as I have removed the esps and archives.
