  1. Just finished SR:LE install and would like to add REGS (and eventually Requiem) and have a few questions about the state of the pack. 1) For REGS, is the guide current enough for things to work? I see that SR:LE has been modified many times after the last recorded edit for the REGS' page. 2) Is the "REGS - SRLE Special Instructions & Compatibility Guide" still current? I see that it has not been updated in quite a while. Bottom line: just want to get REGS installed and am unsure whether I should do it now or wait... Thanks. BTW, a huge thank you to everyone who puts time into making these packs and answering questions. It must take a huge amount of time!
  2. Yes, I did use the STEP DDSopt guide (Appendix-->Quick Start Guide-->Vanilla Skyrim Texture Optimization) referenced in the SR:LE installation guide. and I did compare folders and they come out correct. I set up DDSopt per the STEP guide before starting. What should my optimized files show in MO? Should there be the lightning bolt with the plus and minus signs?
  3. I get ONLY the lightning bolt for the three optimized DLC textures, and the conflicts tab shows all files as overwritten. I take it I did something wrong...
  4. After optimizing the vanilla textures per the guide, I get lightning bolts (i.e., completely overwritten) in MO for the Dragonborn, Hearthfires, and Dawguard DLCs. Does this mean I did something wrong? I have everything in the order given in the guide. Thanks.
  5. Finished complete installation exactly per instructions but when I start in prison cell for Live Another Life, the room is really, really dark and the torch puts off no light below and to the side. After turning off ENB via SHIFT-F12, the cell is easier to see but still not natural light from torch. Worse, after I activate the statue and choose a start: I go to the bed and sleep and then the Skyrim loading screen appears and just stays there. The animation continues but nothing ever loads even after an hour. I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL to stop program. I tried to solve it by COMPLETELY starting over from a wiped hard drive (just wanted make sure I have a good base). Round two ended in exact same result. Anyone have any ideas? I did not--purposely--deviate from the SR:LE instructions in any way. Getting really frustrated... Any help appreciated, thanks.
  6. I finally finished installing SR:LE per the guide and found a problem right from the start: In the character generation menu for Alternate Start-Live Another Life, the sliders seem to be mixed up. The sliders for ears, for example, control cheek bone size. Not all of the them are like that but about a quarter of the sliders. Anyone have any idea what the problem is? BTW, I installed exactly per the guide and did not (purposefully) deviate in any way. Thanks.
  7. Thank you, Smile44, I am new to modding and not sure how that works. I'll have to do some investigating to figure it out. We'll see how it goes. I may be back for more questions...
  8. I didn't articulate the question well. Why doesn't the guide have the user tick the boxes to install the sounds for the other installed mods? Thanks again.
  9. Does anyone know why for installing Audio Overhaul for Skyrim, none of the options are checked during installation for other mods already installed, e.g., Wet and Cold, Enhanced Blood Textures. etc.? Thanks
  10. New to installing mods and have buried myself in the STEP guides for several days reading up on how to install mods for SR:LE and have a question: I understand the concept of the virtual file system in MO but am unclear on the importance of install order versus install priority, i.e., does the PHYSICAL install order really matter as long as the mods are prioritized as per the SR:LE guide in the left pane in MO? Put another way, if I just installed the mods in random order and then prioritized them in the order given in the guide, would the result be the same (a correct install)? Thanks in advance.
