  1. I'm an idiot, can't edit my comment nor can I delete it, please disregard last post. In case there's a way to edit Marthenil is an idiot :)
  2. Ahhh, just my luck, was about to ask whether the conflicts part of the guide is out of date, cause I was getting some discrepancies. The major one being playerWitcher.ws (Getting 12 new conflicts ) and r4player.ws which is not mentioned in the guide whatsoever. I'm not using any of the gameplay affecting mods in the guide, but that shouldn't be an issue with the conflicts, I suppose.
  3. Yep, it is. If you're the dragonborn, it makes perfect sense. If not, well... I've also been using it for ages.
  4. I have a different kind of addiction. Installing Skyrim, installing STEP, installing some more staple mods, getting ready for a playthrough, realizing that I know almost all the quests by heart and nothing I do will change that, get disappointed, uninstall Skyrim after some point. I think I've gone through STEP installation about 30 times now.
  5. I think it's that AND the lighting, especially in the pre-war scenes. But yeah, not sure how I feel about it. EDIT: Probably bothering me because it's neither totally cartoon-y nor "realistic" but somewhere in-between. I'm still probably going to get it, even though I couldn't get into FO3 or NV that much. Maybe this time.
  6. I'm not a huge fallout fan (blasphemy?) and excuse my intrusion but: I'm getting Pingu tingles watching those screenshots. Is it just me, or does everything kinda look like it's made of Plasticine ? Other than that, and the atrocious hud, nothing to really add, as I said I'm not a huge fallout fan.
  7. It took me about 3 hours of trying to get it the first time. Detailed strategy incoming: Load up a save before you start the specific quest as you can't backtrack. Buy the moondust recipe (Oxenfurt if I remember well), but this is optional. Make sure you have some Spectre Oil handy as well. Go watch the Botchling cutscene, after that, the Baron should be moving with you. As soon as you hit the first house on your way to the keep, you will be ambushed. Keep your Quen up at all times, and don't waste Vigor for anything else. Usually, there are two spectres spawning on the gate to your left and one spawning on your right. What I did was moon dust that one spectre, then whack it like there's no tomorrow, while dodging (NOT ROLLING! :D) it's attacks, as the other two take some time to catch up. By the time they do, that one spectre should be dead. You now have much more room to maneuver around. Remember your Quen, in fact, don't try to attack without it being up. Those two should be relatively easy to take care of. Moving on, in the courtyard, you will be ambushed again. By like 5 of them. This is the tricky and frustrating part. Keep ROLLING this time, and having your Quen up. Don't bother attacking when they are close to each other, it's suicide. Be careful of that wooden fence, Geralt gets stuck easily and it's game over. As you keep rolling around in the courtyard, at some point, one of them is sure to get separated. This is your chance: Moon Dust and whack it. Did I mention you shouldn't do that if your Quen isn't up? Rinse, repeat. I won't blame you for cheating. It's an annoyingly overtuned fight. Games are games, something to have fun with. Especially single player. As long as you're having fun, everything is fair game :)
  8. Death March, done the wraiths at level 5 and 6 (two playthroughs). Dodge (not roll) all the time, get used to their telegraphs. For the first part. After you get to the "market square" roll all over the place but beware of the wooden fences, Geralt has a tendency to get stuck. Overall, it's a really frustrating fight, indeed, and Wraiths are possibly the hardest enemies in the entire game (in my opinion). On Death March, at least, yrden was out of the question ( couldn't really stay there, I had to MOVE) and I had to resort to loading an earlier save and crafting moon dust bombs. The second time around I was more prepared. I dread the moment I'll have to redo it for my new playthrough :P This quest, and the bloody Nekker Cave in W2 are the only things highlighting the very steep leveling curve CDPR games have. Don't get me wrong, they are my favourite games of all time, but the leveling system is a minus in the last two titles. W1, not so much. EDIT: Rereading the thread, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE get surrounded, it's stunlock and death time if you do. That's the whole point of monsters in packs, to overwhelm you. You need to have as much space as possible. Positioning right is like 40% of the fight in these cases.
  9. Making nude mods? Literally, the front page is full of them :P
  10. Do you mean in terms of exporting/importing? Or in terms of actually making them for the meshes at hand? Exporting/Importing is relatively simple, actually. Not Skyrim simple, but nothing as complicated as, say, Dragon Age : Inquisition. Making them for the specific meshes though, well, I wouldn't know.
  11. I couldn't help but notice both Neo and Root also dabble in modding the Witcher 3 ( many thanks for doing the hard work of scouting for mods for us :D ), and since I've only just got HOS, I'm in the process of planning a new play through. I've posted this on the official forums and reddit, but no-one was able to reply in a satisfactory manner. Maybe, there's some hope here after-all ! Let me preface that I absolutely love sharpening. In Witcher 2 levels. People seem to hate it, maybe my eyes are wrong, I don't know. I absolutely love it. Furthermore, I have associated high sharpening with the witcher series, mostly because Witcher 2 had lots of it, and I've played it so much. Enter Witcher 3: When freeroaming, the High setting is just gorgeous (again, to me :P). However, when in dialogues/cutscenes, it seems to be completely gone. Now, I didn't mind it at first, in fact, it actually took me a while to notice. But when I did, well, I won't go as far as to say it ruined the game for me, but it keeps showing up. These are some old screenshots I took for my thread on the official forums, which can maybe help indicate what I'm talking about: Dialogue Scene: Free roam, same-y angle: What specifically draws my attention, is the wood: Sharpening makes it feel more grainy, more real. I've tried using some SweetFX presets (with sharpening) to achieve that effect, but it's not quite the same (I'm not completely sure, but it feels like SweetFX applies sharpening to the whole screen, whereas in game it's more pronounced on some objects than others) . I have not, however, tried Reshade. I'm not getting my hopes too high for that either, though. So I guess my question is, could Reshade possibly "fix" this? What other options are there? Am I seeing things?
  12. I definitely agree with what you said SRB. I just think there's more than a tad of hypocrisy on both sides (entitled mod users, some mod authors).
  13. One thing I would love to get answered: Why is this suddenly an issue? I mean, surely making mods you love is better than flipping burgers. But if the money is not what motivated you in the first place, why is it an issue now?
  14. In an ideal world, the best kind of monetization a mod could get would be through ads. Pretty much the same way Youtubers make money off of ads. Even if that meant having to watch 30 second ads before downloading a mod. This way, you're still not using money as motivation (hint: Money is not a good motivation for creative projects) and you still get some money off of it. I don't think the nexus can pull it off though.
  15. Just nitpicking here but since this is a relatively unknown forum with not many people attending it, and possibly the best way to reach you: I ALSO DO NOT TAKE DONATIONS, BUT I DO NOT CONDONE DONATIONS! Do you hate donations or do you mean "condemn" ?? :P
