  1. May i ask what was reason for revisiting ddsopt tutorial? What exactly did you find or saw that made you changing it?
  2. I don't understand options under "DDsopt Optimiaztion" tab, under the "Optimize the Vanilla Textures". In guide it says: 1. "...make sure the Constraints Tab settings match those in the Ordinary choice..." - that's for "Vanilla Ordinary Textures" 2. "Change the Constraints Tab settings, if needed, to match Ordinary choice settings.." - that's for "Vanilla Normal Maps" My question is what picture shows that setting as i don't see it and a images are named as body;ordinary:. I don't understand what is it. Same thing is for "Vanilla Body Textures", "Vanilla Exterior Normal Maps" and "Vanilla Exterior Textures". Now, as we know we have now 5 settings and 4 images , from which two shows "Exterior". Also would be good to implement data structure images, so that we can see exactly what folders are actually optimized during particulary process. Something similiar like the images above me.

Guide has changed so we have "Recommended DDSopt Constraint Menu Settings for Optimizing the Vanilla Textures" followed by 4 pics named "Body (P, H, VH); Ordinary & Exterior Normal Maps (H, VH))", "Ordinary (P); Exterior Normal Maps (P, H)", "Exterior (H, VH)", "Exterior (P)" While in guide we have thing like: "Change the Constraints Tab settings to match Figure V1/H1, or S1 settings", etc.. But there is no V1,H1 or S1 at all. I'm guessing people will be confused. First figure is actually H1/V1, and it becames S1 if you change 2048 to 1024 for both uncompressed and compressed boxes.

  5. From guide: "There should be 16 blank lines in the log file and no errors listed." Then little under this: "Notice:...The log file should not show any errors and should have 14 blank lines " After i done or i should rather said, after .bat done the pre-optimization, i have 15 blanked lines in log. No error anywhere. And yes i counted couple of times. Can someone test it? How much blank lines should we got? FYI, i done this texture optimization lots of times and every time i would got 16 lines. That's why i ask. Rest of stuff is all ok (directories, files, etc, everything is fine)

  7. Wait! Is this means that i can erase HighResTexturePack01.bsa, HighResTexturePack02.bsa, HighResTexturePack03.bsa as they are worthless now. And what about DLC(Dawnguard,etc..). Can i erase them as i have optimized one?
  8. Good, but if inside folder where is CoT-WeatherPatch.esp (the real one) is another esp that is not used for merging, should i move that to optional or leave it? I do understand to move files to optional (ones that i merged), just not clear with steps. Like, if i mege 10 files from 10 folders. Can I create 1 folder for merge one and uncheck all others. Don't mean that i put them in optional tab, just to uncheck complete mods. Or could i put merge file into one of these folders and move other files that i use for merging to optional tab? And how do i determine in which folder to put merge one. In this case is the folder where CoT-WeatherPatch.esp was existed. But why exactly in this one folder? Is this cause it's "Main file" and all others are depend on him? Or both of this steps are correct?

  10. What last section means? Post merge rename....?? What exacly shoud we do with this SRLE_CoTMerge.esp file? Should I make another folder and name it "Merge CoT", then put this SRLE file inside and activate it. What about merged files in folders? One file is not merged (I think it's ..Night:Level.esp) while this 6 mentioned here are. And that file stands inside folder that i need to uncheck. It would be easy if all folder contains only one file. And that Merge guide was not helpfull (the source mod). What is source mod in this case as there are lot of sources here. Could you explain little bit more where i need to put SRLE file and do I need to leave other folders checked, but the files that i merged put in "Optional Tab". The way I understood merging is that you can merge more plugins into one preserving plugins space while you have to activate merged plugin and uncheck plugins that you use to create merge one. Hope you will understand
  11. Sir, can you poin me to "DLC mod page...". I can't find it anywhere :confused: Now my order looks like this (following this thread) Now, I do not understand why "Cleaned DLC" are above Optimized one (_opt). Looking at Neo Skyrim Revisited, he put "Cleaned files" aka "Cleaned Vanilla ESMs" in one package and move them under "HRDLC3 Optimized": Hope someone can give me explanation :)
  12. I have issues with "Optimizing The Bethesda Textures", or to be precise,with "HRDLC3 Optimized". First of all, I did proper install and tweak of all necessary tools, and i did it twice. Issue: Color mismatch hands. This problem occur only if "HRDLC3 Optimized" is checked. If I unchecked it, color is fine. I try to use different combinations of checked and unchecked mods and only if "HRDLC3 Optimized" is unchecked, color is fine. When "HRDLC1 Optimized" and "HRDLC2 Optimized" are checked (without "HRDLC3 Optimized") - color is fine. I reinstall game and same thing again. 3 times i did DDSOpt to a file named "HighResTexturePack03.bsa" and same thing again. IDK, but i think that looking at Mod Organizer picture, everything is like it should be.
