Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

I can't figure it out. i followed the instructions meticulously... I have the output directory correct: Programme Files (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/common/Skyrim/Mod Organizer/mods/HRDLC3... I tried to delete it from the folder, and re-optimize again. Didn't work. It just got replaced with HRDLC2 (in mod organizer archive tab). https://postimg.org/image/6foud9dqz/ Here is the pic again. -

Thx Tomtom, but are you sure? I thought I wasn't supposed to touch these... One more thing, why only hrdlc3 is visible in that tab while hrdlc2 and hrdlc1 aren't? -

Yes, HRDLC1-3 contain loose files. The 'data'  tab in MO is for .bsa files. Since you are following SRLE, you will have been unpacking any .bsa file that comes with any particular mod. Therefore you can completely ignore the 'data'  tab.I meant only hrdlc1 is present in the archives... Why aren't the two remaining ones there? I'm worried I did something wrong. These are the pics of my MO setup: https://postimg.org/image/6foud9dqz/ https://postimg.org/image/6foud9dqz/3c666ece/ -

Cheers yet again Nearox, God bless. One tiny detail, in the Archives (left pane) i have only "data" with files under it, and HRDLC3. HRDLC1 and 2 are not there, is this normal? -

Excuse my ignorance once again people... I am at the last step of Optimizing the Bethesda Textures: "Uncheck the HighResTexturePack01.esp, HighResTexturePack02.esp, and HighResTexturePack03.esp in the load order pane as they are no longer required. Close Mod Organizer." Do i uncheck these in the right pane or the left pane under plugins?? (they are already unchecked in the left pane, but i just wanna be certain. Cant afford to make any mistakes :( I think the naming confused me since in the right pane they are called HRDLC1, HRDLC2, HRDLC3. Thanks in advance -

"Navigate to Skyrim/Data and move the newly cleaned Bethesda ESM files to /Mods/Cleaned Vanilla ESMs. Navigate to /overwrite/TES5Edit Backups and move all of the backup files to the Skyrim/Data folder. Rename the .backup* files to their original name such as Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm and so on. Remove the TES5Edit Backups folder from /overwrite." Mmmm... When I go to Mod Organizer Path/Mods, I only have the SKSE folder within, where is the Cleaned Vanilla ESMs folder? do i have to create one? or have i missed something? -

Thanks for the swift reply Nearox :) much appreciated. What about the official high res textures (these are ESP ones) in the plugins tab? do I check them or leave them unchecked? -

Hey Nearox, "Don't use the old guide, it is largely outdated by now. Use SRLE exclusively. SRLE has instructions for the esps you mentioned." Actually im following the Legendary Edition for startup, and i see no detailed instruction as to which esp/esm/bsa to enable... I am at the "Configure Mod Organizer" part: "Check the box next to the DLC ESMs in the ESPs tab on the Mod Organizer main window".... Can you please expand/explain what to check? I wanna follow all of the Legendary's guide, but as i said too many mods are missing compared to the old one... I am worried the final product won't look as good, but still i wanna stick to your advice... i'm kinda confused now... -

Guys, is it safe to follow Neo's Skyrim revisited dated 31st of July 2013? https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Neovalen/Skyrim_Revisited Although the new Legendary one seems more stable, it has much fewer mods that are present in the original guide :( Another question please, i have reached this part of the guide "Configure Mod Organizer": "Check the box next to the DLC ESMs in the ESPs tab on the Mod Organizer main window": So under the Plug-ins tab in the right pane, do i click all? meaning the DLC content (dawnguard.esm, Hearthfire.esm and Dragonborn.esm)? what about the highrestexturepacks esps (nothing is mentioned)? Do i check the boxes as well in the Archives tab (the BSAs)? Kindly advise Many thanks -
<3 nice to see a friendly and helpful community... Hopefully in the future i will be able to contribute :) @statmonster, After going through the posts i was thinking of doing that. First i will install the Legendary guide step by step, making sure all is stable, then i will add other mods little by little (the original SR guide includes some nice treats). It will be a very steep learning curve, but since i'm so eager and passionate... this will make it easy and enjoyable. It will be an epic journey indeed and I will be spending most of my free time on this project. Thank you both yet again :)

Ok great I will be proceeding with the modding guide starting tonight!!! Thank you Rootsrat for your swift replies, God bless!

Ah ok, thanks for that info. Last question please! Do I proceed with the modding or wait till it's done? If i do proceed and some mods get added in the future, will i need to start all over again in order to avoid conflicts and load order problems or will i be able to add the mods seamlessly and without problems?
-
Thank you for your reply m8... However, as stated above, the Legendary guide seem to contain much less mods. Was this done for stability purposes or is Neo intending to add more mods in the near future?

Hello everyone, First of all I would like to thank everyone involved in the STEP community (special thanks to Neo) for this amazing guide. I played Skyrim when it first launched but the modding scene just became too overwhelming and I quit the game and went back to Age of Conan... I was one of the top PVP Conquerors on Crom server till I quit :) I decided to come back to Skyrim, even bought myself a new OCed 780 GFX card... and i followed the STEP guide, downloading everything through NMM; not using any tools (WB, MO, TES5edit, BOSS...) I was a total nab, still am (at modding), up till i discovered "Skyrim Revisited" guide by Neo and realized all my modding was erroneous. So now I am here, and I've been avidly reading and trying to educate myself on the modding scene... I am super excited and cant wait up to mod the game and immerse myself in it for hours and hours. My question: Do i proceed with the modding based on the guide last updated on the 31st of July 2013? https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Neovalen/Skyrim_Revisited or do i wait for Neo to finalize the Legendary version? I've noticed that the previous guide encompasses many more mods, whether cosmetic, related to gameplay, etc... than the Legendary one. Why is that? Does Neo intend to expand the Legendary mods yet? I am concerned that the previous guide is now obsolete (at least some of the mods) and yet  i am too impatient to wait for months... Any advice will be welcomed... I am sitting biting my nails and getting ready to start my modding adventure... For i enjoy modding as much as i enjoy playing the game. Thanks all
