Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

I think you go to ENB manager and changer and you add the folder Data Files (from Vividian ENB)... I am a newbie like you to these forums but im learning few things little by little. Just don't take my words for granted for now... maybe wait for an expert advice. -

Edit (to minimize clutter): For anyone who had an unusual glitch (very dark/reddish ground/character/surroundings) with Vividian ENB here is the solution below provided by its author: Greetings, first of all, you did all right, your Problem is simple one coming from the ENB by boris itself. Its the MIST option that is Buggy, please have a look at the correspondending Bug report at the ENB series Forum: https://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=2874 Boris, the coder of ENB series sadly cannot reproduce it but i encourage you to register there and post this issue in the same Thread so we can hope he investigates some time in it. You can quickly fix this by opening up the ENB console ingame (Shift+Enter) and uncheck the "enable Mist" option in the Effects tab. This greatly reduces Atmosphere but at least makes it playable. (don't forget to save configuration) -

I have downgraded NCC from the optionals. I deleted the integrated one in MO and installed the new one. Should i have merged them, or it makes no difference? -

No worries Neo, I decided to stick with Unreal Cinema for now... I love it. My only gripe with it is i dunno how to make the screen borderless. Any tips? :) is it safe to DL the Onetweak mod with your guide? One more thing to mention with regards to ENB 0.251: 26 February: Updated ENBSeries 0.251 for TES Skyrim without version change. Removed ExpandSystemMemoryX64 parameter, because some SKSE plugins do not work with it enabled. So do we add the parameter ourselves? or leave it be? Cheers Neo :) -

From the ENB website: 26 February: Updated ENBSeries 0.251 for TES Skyrim without version change. Removed ExpandSystemMemoryX64 parameter, because some SKSE plugins do not work with it enabled. So do we add the parameter ourselves? or leave it be? P.S: I am doing a fresh reinstall :( I did something wrong yesterday which messed up the game completely. A minor setback but it's ok. Now i am installing Vividian ENB rather than Unreal Cinema... at this stage: "On the "Files" pane, click [Add]. Navigate to VividianTemp/Vividian ENB/Main Files, select all contents in the folder except enblocal.ini then click [Add]." When i go to try the game after this step, and everything is extremely/black reddish except the mountains and sky... Any idea why? Update: Just reverted back to unreal cinema and seems ok. -

Ok Torminater thanks for the reassurance. I will go through the mods again after downloading the NCC file. It has been a tough journey for a beginner like myself, a steep learning curve. After checking the mods, I still need to go through the conflict resolution which im dreading. btw, NCC downgrade: install over 1.1.2 to fix fomod installer... What do they mean by "over"? -

Guys, I have a paramount question. I am at the conflict resolution step now. I just realized that I did not download the NCC optional with Mod Organizer. However, i was able to go ahead with my downloads. Whenever i got an error, i used to go to MO/Plugins/Fomod and enable prefer = true. I'm terrified that i have to reinstall everything.. -

Website back on :) I did some testing, the skyrim distance overhaul in conjunction with ENB are cost around 20 fps!! I tried to go bordeless through ENB, didnt work. Once i am done with the guide i will try the one tweak mod. Heard some people had slightly improved performance. -

Guys just to update you on my progress. I have reached the "Vanilla Item Retextures and Tweaks"... and the game is looking AWESOME!!!! I cant wait to finalize and start the fine-tuning process. Seriously, i'm bursting with excitement!! Neo, bro, I wish you all the good things... Thank you so much for that effort.. If it wasnt for you, no way in hell I would have reached such a level of modding. I am a total nab, but following your guide made it all possible. I have a query. I realized my fps dropped, which is normal, since all these mods are insanely taxing... Do i gain some fps back after the conflict resolution process? What about if I use SMME? do you guys recommend it? Any other ways to boost fps? My system: CPU: I7 980 GPU: Nvidia 780 (playing at 1080 res) 12GB RAM It should be noted that i remained with Unreal Cinema ENB. Regards, -

Ask an expert, but what i do, is rename the DLC compatibility patch and place it immediately after in the load order. Would be nice if we get an answer to this question, as i am concerned as you if i did something wrong :P -

Hey Neo, I am sorry forgot to update this thread, been soooooooo busy following your guide!! First of all, if i saw you, i'd give you a hug brother :) thank you so much for the guide and for everything you did for this community. If it wasn't for you, i wouldnt be back to playing Skyrim. Turned out i have not updated my DX9 afetr reformatting my SSD, that is why Skyrim failed to load... but the problem has been sorted. I am progressing with your guide and i am like 1/3 of the way there... Just realized you have switched ENB's today...i think for the time being, i will stick to Unreal Cinema ENB and then later i will experiment. Cheers Neo, -
Mod Organizer troubleshoot
Tarikko1 replied to Tarikko1's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
I been able to identify the problem, everything is ok before this step: "Now that the ENB has been customized for use with the guide: In the ENB Manager and Changer window, click the [..] and navigate to your base Skyrim folder (where TESV.exe is located) then click [set]. Click [Activate] then exit the program by clicking the [X]." After i activate, skyrim will no longer run... -
I am back... for more help, if possible. I am in the process of installing the Legendary guide, little by little... i just optimized the textures and downloaded the ENB and Unreal Cinema... I have reached the Falksaar and did all as instructed. So i decided to try the game and run through mod organizer (SKSE).. I get the black screen for like a second and then i am back to desktop. Skyrim wouldn't launch. I tried disabling all but still wouldn't work, even i went to Vanilla Skyrim, I would get a tiny bit further, with some ENB info being displayed on the screen and i would crash to Desktop again. Any advice please? (Did i do a botched job with the enb??) Help...

Hi Nearox, nice to see you back. I am sticking to the guide, down to the letter. However, i been told that my installation is not correct. please check the pic to see. Whenever i click on a mod in the left pane it is appearing under the Archives tab in the right pane. So after optimizing Skyrim - Textures.bsa (Vanilla Optimized) i move on to the next, Dawnguard Optimized, HF Optimzed, DB optimized... the last one i check seems to appear immediately under the archives tab. The guys here have told me something is wrong as i should only have the "Data" file tree and nothing else. https://postimg.org/image/6foud9dqz/ https://postimg.org/image/3wz0i7jkr/ Edit: I tried your above method, without the backup procedure... i get the same thing... I am wondering why when i click in the left pane, the same mod appears under archives in the right pane... -

I think the problem is deeply rooted somewhere, im giving up tbh. Will just wait for ESO online. This is the 2nd time i reformat and try to install from scratch. I deleted all the folders in MO except the SKSE one. I tried to do the process again, for example, Vanilla Optimized alone (DDSopt)... Once done, when i tick the box in the left pane, it appears again in the right pane, under the Archives tab... -

I have a feeling i did something wrong during that step: "Close Mod Organizer. Navigate to Skyrim/Data and move the newly cleaned Bethesda ESM files to /Mods/Cleaned Vanilla ESMs. Navigate to /overwrite/TES5Edit Backups and move all of the backup files to the Skyrim/Data folder. Rename the .backup* files to their original name such as Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm and so on. Remove the TES5Edit Backups folder from /overwrite." I will redo that step maybe it will fix the problem. P.S: by "Skyrim/Data", is Neo referring to: Programme files (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/Common/Skyrim/Data?
