Thank you for your reply, z929669 I did follow the System Setup Guide (SSG) yet I am still confused, and I am unsure what the SSG has to do with my unanswered questions or my current issues. 1. Is "SE v1.6.1170" not the "AE upgrade?" 2. If not, which guide should I follow for "SE v1.6.1170" ? 3. Is there anything I can do right now to fix the v2.3 STEP patches so I can use them for a v2.3 profile build? 4. Will I run into future problems with v2.3 of STEP if I do not run the Unofficial Skyrim CCC patch, Step Patch - conflict resolution.esp, step patch - Fizzle constant spell absorb effect fix.esp, and the step patch - lighting and weather.esp? Also, - SE v1.6.1170 seems to playing OK so far without the mentioned STEP patches. I am now level 15. However, there is a missing wall & floor in Fellglow Keep. - There are floating Embers/Fires around Whiterun, and researching that particular problem with Embers has not yet returned any results. - There are also visual problems with grass, as well as the night sky, with the ENB that STEP recommended. Disabling ENB "fixes" these problems. If anything, the visual problems seem more important to me right now than the STEP patches. So, if you could give me any help, insight, or tips involved with those issues then that would be fantastic. I appreciate your time and help.

Since so much is missing from the Unofficial Skyrim CCC patch in my build ... Am I just confused by which guide I should be using? Is it because my Skyrim game is v1.6.1170? I understood that I could use Step Guide SkyrimSE v2.3 for that version, but I did not purchase the AE edition. I have SE, which is v1.6.1170, which I thought was AE. Isn't v1.6.1170 the AE version of the game? Is there anything I can do to fix the step patches so I can use them, and other mods, besides purchasing AE or the missing CC content? Will I run into future problems with this version of Step if I don't?

Thank you so much for the swift response. You are awesome. I re-enabled all mods and plugins related to the Step guide, and sorted with LOOT. Please see attached images, and please also see LOOT notes below. There are a lot of missing .esm and .esl files (See below), and I am unsure what to do next. Should I reinstall the mods with LOOT errors or download mods not in the Step Guide? Searching for some of these in the Step Guide does not return any results, such as Rielle Objects Secured.esp, for example. I am not completely sure what that is. If it is referring to "Security Overhaul SKSE - Soul-Cairn Objects Secured," then I installed exacly as directed in the Step Guide. Same with Moon and Star - CC Consistency and Immersion Tweaks, Smooth Shores, Creation Club Open Helmets, Acoustic Space Improvement Fixes, and all Step Patches. Unofficial Skyrim CCC patch is missing a lot of .esm and .esl files. Please see images. MO2 says Smooth Shores 1.0.0 is old but recommends the same version ... Majestic Mountains - Creation Club Patch.esp - "requires cceejsse002-tower.esl but it is missing," & "requires cceejsse005-cave.esm but it is missing," CC Open Helmets Merged.esp - Please see attached images. MO2 reports installed 1.4.0, newest 2.3.0. CC Open Helmets Merged USCCCP.esp - Please see attached images AcousticTemplateFixes_CC_Farming.esp - "requires ccvsvsse004-beafarmer.esl but it is missing," imp_helm_legend_WACCF_patch.esp - "Use imp_helm_legend_WACCF_AMB_Patch.esp instead of imp_helm_legend_waccf_patch.esp." Step Patch - conflict resolution.esp - Please see attached images. Step Patch - CR - WACCF.esp - "requires ccvsvsse003-necroarts.esl but it is missing," MO2 only reports "CC Open Helmets Merged" and "Smooth Shores" as older versions. MO2 also states, "Missing Masters with No Guided Fix: step patch - conflict resolution.esp Required by step patch - Fizzle constant spell absorb effect fix.esp, step patch - lighting and weather.esp" However, all of these including "step patch - conflict resolution.esp" are enabled in both the left and right panes. MO2 does not report any other errors for any of the above listed mods. Everything else is green. No other warning icons in MO2. Running SKSE after sorting with LOOT crashes the game at launch. M02 then disables all mod plugins listed above in the right pane.

Unsure if I should post in "v2.3 - Feedback & Bug Reports," if I should dig deeper on the forum for info, or if I should start a new topic. Apologies. New forum user here. I have done the Step Guide a few times before over the years for both Skyrim and Fallout 4. I also mod a few other games. First time reaching out to Step for help with a problem: Did a fresh install of Skyrim SE, and I just completed Step Guide SkyrimSE v2.3. My Skyrim game is v1.6.1170. I can get it to work, and it runs well so far, but I have to disable Step Patch - Conflict Resolution. Otherwise, the game crashes on launch. This problem also means that I am unable to use Step Patch - Lighting and Weather, Step Patch - Post Processing, and Step Patch - CR - WACCF. Also, MO2/LOOT auto disables the Unofficial Skyrim CCC patch, SightlessNavFix, CC Open Helmets Merged, Rielle Objects Secured, Moon and Star - CC Conistency and Immersion, AcousticTemplateFixes_CC_Farming, and MM - Creation Club Landscape patch. LOOT says "requires cc###ssse###" for all of these, but that the files are missing. It also tells me that I need to use "imp_helm_legend_WACCF_AMB_Patch.esp instead" of "imp_helm_legend_waccf_patch.esp." I got a full page of "Textures Do Not Match" errors in DynDOLOD regarding "dweroadchunk." I did not install CACO or CCOR or the patches for these, and I use ENB. I did not install anything outside the guide, and I assume Step Patch - Conflict Resolution is the main issue here. I am also highly skilled, and have a great attention to detail, but human error is a thing. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
