  1. well the r9 290 will outperform the 770 in nearly every game...the good thing is the r9 290 has a ton of bandwidth which should make the game run smooth with a lot of hd textures here's a benchmark of their performance in skyrim https://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2014/06/05/sapphire-radeon-r9-290-vapor-x-oc-review/6 when using a enb i dont have a clue of what performance you should have but technically the r9 290 should perform better there's one thing you should keep in mind: the r9 290 consumes a lot of power so be sure to have a good quality PSU with at least 650w
  2. there's some sort of bottleneck in that benchmark also it not normal a 780 ti having the same frame rate or even lag behind a 780 imo this one gives more accurate frame rates :https://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2013/11/07/nvidia-gtx-780-ti-3gb-review/8 is benchmarked already with HD DLC and uses AA x8 instead of x4 unfortunately it doesnt have the result of nvidia's "wonder driver"
  3. that makes sense since enb is being developed on a nvidia gpu (also skyrim seems to perform better on nvidia gpus by itself) as already stated the 770 is basically a oc 680... imo its only worth upgrading to a 780 or a 780 ti... while you dont have as much vram as a 670 4gb, 3gb is more then enough and you will get more bandwidth (the 670 cant even use 4gb due to low bandwidth) on the other components your good for a few years since updating your cpu to a last gen i5 will only give you 2 to 3 more fps..
  4. delete your old skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini files and let the game create new ones
  5. some people say that placing Videomemorysizemb to 10240 increases performance... did you reset your .ini files?you also should try that worst case it could be a cpu bottleneck
  6. one of the reasons you could have such low fps could be your amd cpu have a look at this benchmark: https://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2013/06/12/intel-core-i5-4670k-haswell-cpu-review/5 while it doesnt have your cpu benchmarked you can notice the performance improvement with a intel cpu is huge that said i'm afraid to say your fps seems normal for your rig
  7. the file is hidden the minute i saw a forum topic "cant hid file" from the author i knew what was coming...its a shame imo it was a great mod, i've not used myself because the lack of compability with other mods... while i can understand he be pissed by some comments, that mod had a nice amount of downloads/endorsements not sure what the author wanted more.. also a tip for the future for some users: even if its true avoid offensive posts like "Is he the equivalent of a Reddit Karma w h o r e, but on the Nexus?" many author visit these forums because they're helpful not to see that type of comments
  8. by any chance are you using a 32-bit windows?only a x64 windows can use more than 4gb of ram
  9. Are you sure it's this mod and not the A Quality World Map - With Roads Classic? That one definitely has that issue. I just flew around the map from High Hrothgar and saw no hint of it. I think that this mod sidesteps that whole issue by way of having an elevated mesh floating above the regular LOD, which I think is why the mod screws up when your mod order is wrong. You track the regular map underneath. Just conjecture though. Well, he said it was this mod. I personally have no experience with it. He still uses it despite the issue. :) Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk if i recall it right some people posted in the comments saying there was no issue it was just the riften area
