SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn

Hey spartanflame, I am using Vilja alongwith a bunch of other followers in my build - so far no issues However, do not take my word for it, I am playing with my fingers crossed Thanks for responding, Nozzer - yeah as I am playing through, I am adding some mods that I used to use a while back - for example, My Home Is Your Home. -

Hey all, have not posted in a while, because I have been wrapped up in actually playing the game as opposed to modding 😜 While we are on the topic of CTDs, has anyone encountered random CTDs lately? I have been experiencing it quite a bit and not sure how to fix it. Other thing I was wondering about was the Wrye Bash Patch. So after you have Rebuilt the Bashed Patch, when you add any additional mods that introduce an esp file, you have to Rebuild the Bashed Patch, right? For doing that, do you have to re-enable all mods that are unchecked??? So far, I have been doing it as follows: 1. Install additional mods 2. For those have esp files, first run LOOT to sort order. 3. Next run Wrye Bash (note that I am not de-selecting or de-activating anything) 4. Right click and Rebuild Bashed Patch 5. Uncheck NoMerge mods 6. Review the custom settings and checked items above Leveled Lists (can’t remember all of them) and click Build Patch. 7. Next, run ASIS 8. Next, run Dual Sheath Redux 9. Lastly, navigate to the Mod Organizer -> overwrite folder and cut all the files and paste into the SRLE Extended LOTD Profile folder, overwriting existing files. 10. Launch game Am I doing it right? Thanks. -

Fyi - if anyone is interested, I traced the source of this problem - it's my middle mouse button. If I click it once within game, then it works fine without any tweaks. Wondering why that is the case - is there any configuration that is forcing the middle mouse button to become active on game launch? I can only think of the Dual Wield Parrying Block MCM configuration. -

Guys, just wondering about this - if you have followers with you, do you have to get a hit in with a particular enemy for your player character to get some experience points out of that "kill". For example, if you and your followers are attacking a wolf or a bandit, what happens if your followers finish the job before you get a single hit in? Do you get 0 exp points? The reason I ask is because I am a follower-hoarder, and like playing with like a "full-party" kind of an experience. So currently, I have a tank, 2 healers and thinking of adding 2 damage dealers - so this will be in addition to my central character, that's like 6 total characters tackling every wolf, bandit, whatever else is out there. I thought by increasing the game difficulty to "Legendary", I might be able to balance it out, but not sure if it's working. Any suggestions? I guess one route would be to start small at the lower levels, like 2 followers max. and keep adding by 1 every 5 levels..... But anyways, thoughts? -

Interesting - so, to summarize: 1. Uncapper for Ordinator - better gameplay experience that aligns with most of the content in this guide 2. Community Uncapper - closer to vanilla experience, but any modification in skills will be experimental because underlying dependencies hard to determine Question though - does all of the above have an impact on the Follower levels? In other words, does it impact how a follower levels up and gains skills? Nozzer, since Disparity is being brought up - I was delaying the in-game selection of that intentionally. So, if I pick a class, for eg, Mage, does Disparity confine / restrict me to that class? Or will I have complete freedom to expand or grow other skill areas as well? I guess I am not fully clear what kind of an impact Disparity has to the game. Also, see my response above to godescalcus regarding Follower leveling - does Disparity have an impact on Followers' skills? Hey Darth or Lexy, not sure if you guys saw this post of mine, but wondering if the referenced content needs an update. -

Awesome - so should I be looking at SKSE_Elys_Uncapper.ini file under the Uncapper for Ordinator -> SKSE -> Plugins folder? Or do we need to edit the one under Skyrim-Community-Uncapper mod? Yes, agreed that it is very extensive, but all I am looking to modify is the rate at which the Base Level of the Player Character increases. Which one would that be? Assuming I do not have to modify / update the skill values for each area like Alteration, Conjuration, bla bla..... -

I spoke too soon - the dialog menu is still scrolling too fast. I may have to tweak it down further. But I agree with FinalPantasy - leveling is way way slower - finished Bleak Falls Barrow dungeon on Legendary difficulty and still halfway through level 2 Just out of curiosity, how can we tweak the leveling speed just a little bit, about halfway between what vanilla game is and what Uncapper does? Anyone configure it that way? -

Darth, thanks for responding - however, this is what fixed it for me: SkyrimPrefs.ini [interface] fMouseCursorSpeed=0.7000 (This value was originally set at 1.0000) The link where I found the above recommendation:- https://steamcommunity.com/app/72850/discussions/0/828925849445175984/ -

Hey everyone - so finally got done with modding I started playing yesterday and so far so good, noticed one of the followers that I added was mis-behaving. But I pushed it down after Alternate Start - Live Another Life, and it started working. The mouse scroll speed is super-duper fast, though. It's a major problem while going through menus and/or zooming in and out within the game. Anyone encounter this problem? Thanks. -

Crap... Good thing I made an image right before Conflict Resolution. Ok, thanks Lexy, I will re-start from there. I guess I will attempt the additional Conflict Resolution this time too - see how many things pop up before I run the xEdit scripts. Also, on the Merges page, maybe the following section needs revision: Collectables and Treasures Merged Files to merge: BGtheCapturedFairies.esp (BadGremlins Captured Fairies)BadGremlinsJarHunt.esp (BadGremlins Great JarHunt)BGsomethingFishy.esp (BadGremlins Something Fishy)BGtrophyHeads.esp (BadGremlins Trophy Heads)SkyrimsUniqueTreasures.esp (Skyrims Unique Treasures)Merge name: --- Collectables and Treasures MergedFilename: Collectables and Treasures Merged.espLeft Pane Placement: Directly After Skyrims Unique TreasuresPlease note that this merge requires you to run ReLinker. Check the ReLinker section at the end of the guide for more info. The yellow note above makes it sound as if we have to run ReLinker immediately after creating the above merge - which was what I did. -

So, basically install the SRLE LOTD Conflict Resolution.esp, Custom Fixes, run LOOT and then check for conflicts before doing the xEdit Scripts?? Also, got a question about Re-Linker - I ran that just after doing the Collectables and Treasures Merge. So do I need to run Re-Linker again after doing creating the No More Dragon LOD's Output.esp?? -

Lexy, since I am using some additional mods on top of the guide mods, when do I check for conflicts? After installing Conflict Resolution and Custom Fixes or after finishing the LOOT order, TES5Edit scripts, etc..? Also for checking conflicts in the new mods, do I right-click every new mod and Apply Filter on each one? I can follow the guide for resolving the conflicts, just wondering how to go about checking for them and when. Thanks. -

Darth, I noticed that you added the Merged tag on the SRLE Extended LOTD page - thanks 👠Lexy, Thanks for responding - awesome! Can’t wait to get the final steps rolling.... I will refer the Section 4 of NVEdit?? (I think) for steps on doing the options you suggested. Will post if I have any questions. -

Hey guys, quick q - I have finally reached the Conflict Resolution section (yet again ) So, am I supposed to just download and install the following esp files and then proceed with the rest of the sections? SRLE Extended LoTD - Conflict Resolution SRLE Extended LoTD - CR Update for 1.59.1 (TESTING) - this one says Testing, so should I be downloading it? SRLE Extended LoTD - Custom fixes Also in my case, since I am using some mods outside of the guide, I understand that I will have to do my own Conflict Resolution. So does that mean that I have to compile a whole new SRLE Extended LoTD - Conflict Resolution file by following the NVEdit Manual - Section 4?? Thanks. -

Hey Berndaroy & Nozzer66 - thanks for weighing in and sharing your thoughts. If I have to add some mods on top of the ones in the guide, is it better to do it at the end of the guide or in the respective sections? For example, if I wanted to add some additional follower mods for instance. Also Lexy mentioned about the Conflict Resolution piece in an earlier post, but I did not quite get it. Is there a guide or tutorial on how to do Conflict Resolutions? I have not figured out this important piece of the puzzle yet. -

Cool, no worries - thanks, Darth_Mathias. I just wanted to illustrate what I was referring to in my older post. Currently I am sort of making my own waypoints for merging plugins by cross-checking the Merges Page and the esp requirements for a specific merge. Once I am done, I can publish that in this forum in some fashion, if that helps someone out. -

Lexy - thanks for your feedback, updating my list: 1. Appropriately Attired Jarls 2. Consistent Older People 3. Dead Body Collision Fix 4. Double Cursor Fix 5. Fast Travel Timescale Fix 6. Invisibility Glitch - Eyes Fix 7. Ragdoll Paralysis 8. EasyWheel Menu - already discussed 9. Better Skill and Quest Books Names 10. iWASM - Immersive Wait and Sleep Menu 11. Lore Based Loading Screens 12. Enhanced Character Edit 13. CharGen Export 14. Viewable Faction Ranks - your comments make sense, but for someone like me who comes back to the game every few years, I think it will help me keep track of where I left off with each faction in terms of ranking. I have been trying to fully complete this game ever since it was released 15. Moonpath to Elsweyr 16. Wyrmstooth 17. Summerset Isle 18. Morning Fogs Refined I have reached the LoTD section and installing those mods now.... On another note - please see the screenshots below, I was referring to this in an earlier thread with Darth_Mathias: See how a Merged indicator is missing in the SRLE Extended LoTD guide? Something like that would really help out non-SE Skyrim folks -

Hey falllenknighte, thanks for looking into that. Yes I do recall seeing that in the details of moreHUD, but it was not as detailed as BSandQBN. There's more: 1. Appropriately Attired Jarls 2. Consistent Older People 3. Dead Body Collision Fix 4. Double Cursor Fix 5. Fast Travel Timescale Fix 6. Invisibility Glitch - Eyes Fix 7. Ragdoll Paralysis 8. EasyWheel Menu (striking this one as this mod is in the guide - see my comments in previous post) 9. Better Skill and Quest Books Names - I believe this conflicts with Books of Skyrim, does Books of Skyrim have the features from the BSQBN mod? 10. iWASM - Immersive Wait and Sleep Menu 11. Lore Based Loading Screens 12. Enhanced Character Edit - maybe not required because we have RaceMenu? but wanted to confirm 13. CharGen Export - i think RaceMenu has an export feature, so I can probably strike this off 14. Viewable Faction Ranks 15. Moonpath to Elsweyr 16. Wyrmstooth - already discussed, but would like to hear other thoughts as well 17. Summerset Isle 18. Morning Fogs Refined Still more to come.... that's how far I got - I am off to bed. -

Hi FallenKnight, thanks for giving your feedback. That helps thin my mods a little bit: 1. Appropriately Attired Jarls 2. Consistent Older People 3. Dead Body Collision Fix 4. Double Cursor Fix 5. Fast Travel Timescale Fix 6. Invisibility Glitch - Eyes Fix 7. Ragdoll Paralysis 8. EasyWheel Menu - personally speaking, I hate the wheel - is there a way to turn it off within MCM? I have to install it because it is Core, but not a fan of it. 9. Better Skill and Quest Books Names - I believe this conflicts with Books of Skyrim, does Books of Skyrim have the features from the BSQBN mod? more to come.... What's a request for a PM? Thanks. -

Ok folks..... I have bitten the nail one more time - did a clean wipe last night, starting over from scratch 2.5+ weeks of modding drown the drain Lexy, your question makes me bring up a bunch of questions that I was avoiding until this point, but I can't help it anymore. The question revolves around my choice of mods. But first to answer your question regarding Legacy of the Dragonborn, when I read the description - I feel like it's a mod that introduces a museum, collecting artifacts, ruin-digging, lots of scavening, etc.. which adds more deviation from the main quest and/or the plethora of other quests introduced via mods. It has an airship component which does not make sense - why fly when there are dragons around Maybe I am not understanding it correctly, but regardless - I give up, I am installing everything (at least 99% this time). My turn for questions - have you guys considered / looked at the following mods? [i will keep a running list as I progress through the guide and post an updated list] 1. Appropriately Attired Jarls 2. Consistent Older People 3. Dead Body Collision Fix 4. Double Cursor Fix 5. Fast Travel Timescale Fix 6. Invisibility Glitch - Eyes Fix 7. Ragdoll Paralysis only gotten to the Other Fixes section so far. Another big one I can think of is Wyrmstooth - why is that not included in this guide? Thanks. -

Ok, I guess that makes sense. Sigh - at this point, rather than starting all over again, I will try cleaning the errors due to the missing esp plugins that I skipped. Just want to cross-check my approach though. So basically I look for the record ID which is nothing but Form ID in the error message. Then find that record ID under the relevant section, right click and click on Remove, correct? Then I save the plugin and re-open in xEdit and Clean Masters to get rid of all missing plugins after it shows no errors, right? That’s how I cleaned the other SRLE Extended LOTD esp files. Once I get rid of the errors, then go back in there and resolve any remaining conflicts per the sub-guide??? Another option is to install the esp plugins that I skipped like Legacy of the Dragonborn. But if I install now and position it in the right place on MO left pane, would that still work? In terms of MO right pane or load order, I guess LOOT will arrange or order it correctly, right? Sorry, trying to figure out how to proceed, without starting over from the base game installation. Thanks. -

Hmmm - now I am very confused. Have I been following the correct STEP guide? https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Darth_mathias/SRLE_Extended_Legacy_of_The_Dragonborn I am trying to mod the Legendary Edition of Skyrim, not the Special Edition. I do have the Special Edition game, but not ready to mod and play it yet. If I am referring to the correct guide, then the CR guide link in there points to this site: https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Paul666root/Subguide_CR_SRLE_LOTD#Activator Yes, I do see the message " Warning: THIS SUBGUIDE IS NO LONGER BEING MAINTAINED FOR REFERENCE PURPOSES ONLY", but if that is the case, what is the correct subguide that I need to be looking at? Lastly, on your answers below: 1. in xedit you left of the record you want to copy into a new esp and right click "copy as overwrite into" (this will then let create a new plugin or using a exisitng oplugin. 2. just drag and drop the keyword int the new esp. Just an observation - that seems like a lot of work to resolve the conflicts, considering the fact that you have to do each error line by line manually (please see attached). Or is that the only way to do it? Also, this just takes care of the errors. Are there separate conflicts as well that need to be resolved using the steps above? Thanks. -

Hello Lexy, Thanks for responding. I looked at the guide and need some help figuring it out - could not find the directions on how to clean at the bottom of the guide. The guide ends with section SRLE Extended LOTD - RS Children Patch. Also, just taking an example here - but what does the following lines mean? 000131EF <DragonPriestRace> Conflict Resolution: Use Record from Undeath.esp then move KWDA - Keywords from Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.espProblem Resolved: Changes from Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch and Undeath needed to be merged.1. I mean, what does Use Record from xxxx mean? 2. How do you move stuff from one place to another? 3. Removing is straightforward enough, I right click and hit Remove and confirm on yes on a specific record. Sorry - I am not very familiar with xEdit. Thanks. P.S: In all my posts so far, I have been referencing the SRLE Extended LOTD guide and not the Special Edition version of that. -

Hey all, so finally I am at the end - Conflict Resolution. However, I am curious to know what needs to be done in this section. Do I need to go through the sub-guide and manually fix each error / conflict? In my case, I have intentionally skipped some mods. Please see screenshot below for the LOOT errors on SRLE Extended LoTD - Conflict Resolution.esp: Can someone tell me what I should be doing? My instincts tell me that I should create dummy esps via Wrye Bash and then try to delete all error records via xEdit. Thanks.
