  1. So some confusion on Vsync and just want to double check. According to the guide, I should have these settings: If the driver is handling Vsync make sure EnableVSync is set to false in the enblocal.ini file and iPresentInterval is set to 0 in the Skyrim.ini file.VSync and Refresh: * Frame Rate Limiter 59.7 * Max Pre-Rendered Frames 3 * Vsync Force On (this is a personal preference as I prefer the driver handle all Vsync stuff) * Apply Changes. So in Beth ini, do I enable or disable vsync? Do I just use the default settings for the rest of the Nvidia Inspector profile? Also, it forces me to use either 58, 59, or 60 for the frame limiter. How did you get 59.7? What about the setting for bFloatPointRenderTarget? Thanks -bmccarti
  2. Answered my own question. Please disregard
  3. Can the npc textures be updated to 4K mid game (i.e. reinstalling the mod and choosing 4K textures instead of 2k) without causing issues?
  4. If I add another player home, should I leave it packed as a BSA like Caranthir was? The mod adds a few new npcs with dialogue. When left as a bsa, I have found that some of the dialogue of these npcs has no sound even though their lips are moving.
  5. Ok that's good. I haven't even started playing yet haha. Re-did some things after adding the ClearWater update. The eternal modding addiction...
  6. Will this be a problem for the pre-September 4th guide users? If so, any way around this issue without starting a new game? Perhaps using the in-game console?
  7. So I have around 285 plugins, with 250 after the bashed patch. Is it ok to run Relinker after the bashed patch? I'm worried that if I do it before the patch, the 255 limit will prevent the program from reading all of the scripts. But if I run Relinker after Wrye Bash, will it be able to read the scripts within the bashed patch? Thanks -bmccarti
  8. If I add the Clear Water mod to my current setup (cuz it looks awesome!), I know I need to redo the Realistic Water merge and probably asis/bash patch/dual sheath to be safe, but do I need to rerun DynDOLOD? I have not started my game yet. Thanks -bmccarti
  9. This is incredible. I'm can't thank you enough. So for the removal of Aela from the CR and merge, I just use the method described on the conflict resolution page, yes? The same one we previously discussed for removing Mature Skins, correct? Thanks again. -bmccarti
  10. What?! Unbelievable! You are a gem. I like the Custom face Paint #1 option with green eyes. I owe you a debt of gratitude. Thank you so much
  11. Haha I think you just scared me straight! Mind blown. I would love to learn how to do all this, but not sure the FNVEdit guide will save me this time haha! I bow to the masters
  12. Well thank you for the generous offer to help! I solved the RS Children issue with TES5Edit by finding the conflicting mod and creating a metadata update. I would love to make this mod work, however: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19568/?tab=4&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D19568%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D714509&pUp=1 My apologies, I could not for the life of me (noob) figure out how to attach a screenshot to the PM, so I attached it here. All I'm interested in keeping from this mod is the appearance features. The screenshot shows some of these conflicts. Is this a relatively simple thing to fix in TES5Edit, or would it involve creating a new merged patch, redoing the SRLE conflict resolution and then the bashed/asis/patches etc? If it's too involved, I'll just forego the mod. Edit - Can I just create a manual patch plugin for this one mod conflict? The FNVEdit guide describes two options: the manual patch plugin or the automatic merged patch. Seems like the merged patch for the whole load order, would be problematic as the guide already provides much of the conflict resolution.
  13. Okay, just read through the conflict resolution section in the FNVEdit guide. Is it just me or does this seem super straight forward to do? Not sure what I was so worried about! Thanks for the link to the guide! Looking forward to resolving any conflicts this evening.
  14. Ha that is totally what would happen too!! After the DynDOLOD update I had to force myself to stop. I do love the challenge of modding, but I'm getting anxious to actually play the game! As far as the RS children potato head debacle, I was able to solve it crudely by using the RS Children Non-Playable Override patch that I had saved from a previous playthough. That file is no longer available on the RS Children nexus page, leading me to believe that my problem, as you said, is a conflict issue. I added a bunch of mods, so I'm going to try to see if I can somehow figure it out using TES5Edit. I just started reading the gigantic FNVEdit Training Manual so hopefully that will help point me in the right direction...
  15. So as you may know, I recently completed the entire guide. Things are going great so far. I've noticed that the guide is now updating to include many new versions of mods. I haven't started my game yet, so I was wondering if it is worth it to scrap what I have and instead install the updated version/mods in the guide. What am I missing by not updating everything? Thanks. bmccarti
  16. Added some mods and now the kids have shiny potato faces. Anyone run into this?
  17. Is Wrye bash dependent on load order being correct before running it? If so let's say I have more than 255 plugins prior to running wry bash. How do I determine load order since loot can only handle 255 plugins?
  18. Just a heads up concerning the Conflict Resolution esp: I followed the steps on removing masters from the CR and it looks like Mature Skins is no longer part of it. I checked in both TES5Edit and Wrye Bash. I also did a simple check by unticking Mature Skins and seeing if the the CR esp got a red flag next to it. It did not. It was previously linked with the Disparity esp, but apparently no longer. Unless I'm mistaken (which is very possible), it should be ok to use another skin texture without issue. However, if I'm wrong, please let me know. Thanks. -bmccarti
  19. If I change the body type for my character and for npcs to something other than unpb (such as Uunp with bodyslide), do I need to rerun fnis, asis, and dual sheath redux? What about wrye bash? Thanks -bmccarti
  20. Ha good point! Thanks again. The game is playing swimmingly. You guys are incredible
  21. So I have a racemenu preset that I want to use, however, in the race menu, when I go to load the preset, it has TheEyesOfBeauty.esp in red, meaning it is not seeing the .esp. I assume this is because that esp is part of the Faces Merged.esp. So how to I get racemenu to recognize the esp for The Eyes of Beauty? Thanks -bmccarti
  22. Is Mature Skins still part of the new v1.35 Conflict Resolution? -never mind figured it out
  23. There is an SKSE folder generated in the overwrite folder. It contains wearablelanterns data, simplyknock data, frostfall data and campfire data folders along with the fuz ro d'oh and smartsouls ini files. Do I create a mod for this, and if so, where would I place it? Thanks
  24. Completed my test run though the first part of the main quest last night. Three hours of playing and not a single crash or error, and it is surprisingly fast. I am so impressed and just wanted to express my gratitude to the mod authors. This is amazing! I am going to begin my official new playthrough tonight, but first: Some post-testing follow up questions: 1. As per our conversation yesterday regarding adding/changing npcs and texture/armor/clothing mods, I I rerun ASIS, DSR and the Bash patch, Do I deactivate the previous original ones from the guide, or should I keep them active and just place the new esps after them? This goes for FNIS as well if I decide to add new animations. 2. How do I determine of the Conflict resolution needs updating? Is this done through TES5Edit? If so, what do I look for? 3. The game is running very stable. However, I know there will continue to be updates added to the guide, such as mod version updates. Should I just keep what I have, or do I need to restart and implement the updates such as DynDOLOD, ordinator, and any more to come (i.e. how critical are the updates for the game)? 4. For vividian ENB, are the author's preferred ENB settings already implemented with the install of the ENB and ENB organizer, or do I need to set up the preferences for Vividian myself. I so, do the author's have a recommended set of Vividian enb settings? 5. Is there a way for me to leave a raving testimonial? I am so excited and want to express my thanks. Thanks again everyone. I promise I am nearly done asking silly noob questions! -bmccarti
