  2. ... and when I tried to start a game, it would crash before I got to the menu. Unchecking AIM and UIExtensions in the left pane stopped the crashes. I re-installed AIM amd UIExtensions, and in SSEEdit UIExtensions showed no masters (that seems a bit odd), and AddItemMenu showed Skyrim.esm and UIExtensions.esp as masters. Now I realize that I need to ESMifiy UIExtensions to port AIM, which I will do later, after I get some sleep.
  3. samlee860407, 'Audio Overhaul Skyrim - Cutting Room Floor Patch.esp (Audio Overhaul for Skyrim 2 - Patches)' isn't in your merge. Did you create the 'Audio Overhaul for Skyrim 2 - Patches' directory, cut and paste the files listed, and move the .ESP files in MOs's Right Pane to the bottom of the order in the specified order?
  4. I read something about how to port AIM, but don't remember where. I went to AIM's page and saw that: (1) the mod author has provided an alpha DLL for SSE, and (2) UIExtensions is a requirement. I installed and ported AIM and UIExtensions (save in CK), unpacked UIE's BSA to loose files, and installed the alpha DLL provided on the Mod's webpage in AIM's MO2 mod folder.

  6. DS3Chrome, I'm not getting that error message. Has anyone else been testing Timing is Everything - Quest Delay and Timing Control? I've haven't tested nearly everything , but the options I have tested seem to work flawlessly. I've missed having AddItemMenu - Ultimate Mod Explorer available and have added it to my Build.
  7. Has anyone read Soul Cairn HD's description? This could be something to add to the Build, which I don't think has anything affecting the Soul Cairn.
  8. No problem. Your DynDOLOD runs will be longer be cause of the added LODs.
  9. It's your call. My $0.02 worth: I'd install it as it is now (so you can use it), and if it gets updated/changed then (again) it's your call. I'm trying to follow the Guide (for now), and I've installed a handful (6) mods not in the Build (armor and SKSE stuff). I plan on adding a lot of stuff to the Build, but not until it's stable (out of the Beta stage). Hopefully your knee mends soon. Sorry to hear you stuffed it. I've deviated from some of the suggested MCM settings as well, and installed +10 for Scarcity mods (if it isn't in the loot, I won't be tempted to pick it up), but I'm trying to follow the Build (for now). I put "HD-LODs-Textures-SE V7.0 1k (1k near - 512 far)-3333-7-0" directly after "DynDOLOD Resources SE 2.36 Beta 1" in MO2's Left Pane. It has no ESP , so I don't think it matters where you put. I selected the (1k near - 512 far) option because that adds slightly increased detail for near LODs and Build standard detail for far LODs. DarkladyLexy, if she adds it to the build, may place it elsewhere and choose a different option. As for how it looks, I think the mod description is accurate: "New HD LODs for the buildings and the landscape of Skyrim, Dawnguard and Dragonborn" - the buildings/structures throughout Skyrim look better at a distance. Looking down on Whiterun/Bleak Falls Barrow/Riverwood from High Hrothgar, the buildings (for me) stand out much better. I took some screenshots, but for reason(s) unknown STEP is limiting me to 1 8K picture.

Darth_Mathias, after reading 'DynDOLOD-SE/Docs/trees.ultra/DynDOLOD-Trees.html', I agree that "... since we are using the Medium setting without changing 'tree' to Static LOD4" we are using Billboard. Changing 'tree' to 'Statis LOD4' only means that we'd be using the hybrid trees (which are usually easier on memory and performance) from DynDOLOD's files instead of full tree models. Setting TreeFallBackFull=1 tells DynDOLOD to use the full model when attempting to generate 3D Static LOD. With 'HD LODs Textures SE' installed, DynDOLOD took 25 min 22 secs to run (has been 24m30s for me). The DynDOLOD output folder is 1.5GB in size, with 1,720 files and 71 folders. The view from the Throat of the World is great. Whiterun, Bleak Falls Barrow, and the other structures I can see look better. I took screen shots, but STEP won't let me attach anything large than 8K! Update on preparations for installing/testing HD LODs Textures SE: at 14:05 in Ultra Trees Tutorial (the beginning of 'Step #4 - Setting Up Ultra Trees') the instruction on the screen says to delete all files in DynDOLOD/EditScripts/DynDOLOD/Cache directory. The Guide directions for setting up DynDOLOD say delete all files except 'becauseofreasons.txt' (an empty 1-byte text file). I'm going to follow the Tutorial directions and delete all files. DarkladyLexy and Darth_Mathias, I hope your power returns soon. Take care of you and yours! The Build will be here when you are back online!
  13. Sorry to hear about the extended power outage. In preparation for installing/testing, I've re-downloaded/installed DynDOLOD Standalone 2.36 beta 7 and DynDOLOD Resources SE 2.36 beta 1. While following the "ULTIMATE TREES INSTALLATION - GUIDE" video for installing/configuring DynDOLOD, I noticed that it shows DynDOLOD with an MO2 'Start in' parameter of DynDOLOD's installation directory. The Guide has nothing about this MO2 configuration parameter. I'm going to enter my DynDOLOD installation directory into this field. Nothing was said about TEXGEN, so I'm leaving 'Start in' lank for it.
  14. I like to use broad search parameters when starting research on something, because (I think) you have a better chance of finding something useful. The first entry listed in the results from my "sheson ultra tree" search was Ultra Trees Tutorial. This is a STEP Forum Topic started by TECHAngel85 asking Sheson "I'm curious if you've ever completed the video tutorial you've linked for ultra trees:", with several references to 'EVT' (which I finally figured out was [Enhanced Vanilla Trees SSE]). Reading the Forum Topic lead me to "DynDOLOD - Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - Sheson", the DYNDOLOD Docs you'll find in your DynDOLOD installation's DOCs directory. The "Mods Requiring DynDOLOD" section of "DynDOLOD_Manual_SSE.html" lists one mod {"HD LODs Textures SE"}, who's mod author speaks highly of the LODs created by T4gtr34um3r for [Majestic Mountains] and [Terrain LOD redone]. HD LODs Textures SE, described as "... a complete re-texture of Skyrim, Dawnguard and Dragonborn LODs.", has one hard requirement [Noble Skyrim - Skyrim Special Edition Performance Version], and 3 hard recommendations: [Majestic Mountains], [RUSTIC WINDOWS] and "Arri's Snow Elf Ruins Retexture". DarkladyLexy and Darth_Mathias, was 'HD LODs Textures SE' ever considered for inclusion in your Guide? If you think it would be worth the effort, I'm willing to install it and see what happens. I want to find out if it will reduce the number (329 in my last DynDOLOD run) of <Note: textures\terrain\lodgen\dragonborn.esm\dlc2treepineshortheavysnow01_0003383c_n.dds normal map not found, using flat replacement> messages, and other warning messages.

  16. Darklady\Lexy, Thank You for the update about the DynDOLOD settings. Is there anything I can do to help with testing them? Don't giveup on Ultra Trees. :-) The ESMifiying Instructions look good, and are a darn sight less complicated then what I was trying to use. I had to backtrack twice because I put the ESM tag on the wrong .ESPs. FYI: [Vivid Weathers Definitive Edition - a complete Weather and Visual overhaul for Skyrim] has been updated to [spoiler=Version 2.30] Introducing with this Update is Vivid Weathers SE Classic. This will set the Tonemapping back to the Reinhard Tonemapping instead of Fimlic. As a result the Image is more sharper , crisp and more fantasy like. It is also prefered to be used with third party weathers introduced by mods and patches like truestorms. Please make sure your ENB is compatible with the Classic version, though as i have not changed weathers it should be most likley. To fall back to filmic Edition just disable the Vivid Weathers SE - Classic.esp. Changes: Overworked script logic for Filmic Edition to recognise the Classic shaders. Fixed a bug caused by Werewolf or Vampire transformatoins to get a black screen Fixed some Fog and overcast weathers Workaround for a Engine bug suddenly switching to a non specified default weather in interiors making everything to go super bright
  17. Do the DynDOLOD Setup instructions at the end of the Build for Ultra Trees need adjustment/changing/updating?
  18. Shabdez, after looking at your DynDOLOD log, I have two questions: (1) Where's your Bashed Patch ? (2) Where are "Lexy's LoTD SE - Conflict Resolution.esp" and "Lexy's LoTD SE - Conflict Resolution CR Update for 1.02 (TESTING).esp" in your load order?

  20. I haven't had it happen recently (or often), but I've seen the "waiting for lodgenx64.exe to finish" message to spew for a couple of screens worth of output. Eventually the offending process(es) finally died. It's not happening now for me. If disabling the mods didn't help, try removing them from your load order. If that doesn't help, try completely deleting and reinstalling DynDOLOD standalone in it's directory (where did you put it?) and Resources in your Load Order.
  21. Try sending me a message using the STEP Messenger with your DynDOLOD log attached, or in the message itself. It doesn't need to be the whole log, but it should have at least up to just after the problem starts. I'll take a look and 'see what I can see'.
  22. I never thought (and don't think) you (or anyone else) was complaining. Having a 'face-to-face conversation' about a complicated subject with everyone (well, everyone except DarkladyLexy and Darth_Mathias) in a different room is not easy.
  23. I was able to see the armour in the list (and make it) after my PC got the Exotic Perk, but was able to improve it without the Arcane Perk. I'm not sure that applies in this case, since the armor wasn't enchanted.
  24. I was wondering about that myself when I was making it. I figured It's needs the Exotic Perk, so Why Not?
