Would like to second exchanging Realistic Roads for Vivid Roads and Bridges, Hein does amazing work not a knock at all on Realistic Roads they are both solid. We are the Minutemen for faction overhaul? Also your settlement section is still being modified right? It's kind of a cluster at the moment. Thanks again Gernash and Aeradom keep up the great work! -

Thanks for the confirmation. So basically if I pack all the textures into BA2s and follow the install/load order guide here everything should have their overwrites properly -

So BA2's lower in the load order with conflicts will NOT overwrite other BA2s? I'm confused -

Awesome thanks guys! So what happens when two BA2 archives have conflicting files in them? -

Ok I think I understand. Well, not a VRAM issue per se, but I do play at 4K with 980 SLI and it would be nice to have all textures that aren't covered by mods in an optimized format to save some VRAM just because 4K is so taxing. I easily get steady 60 FPS with god rays low, AA off, shadow distance medium even with mods but my VRAM usage can creep up to 3.8-3.9 gigs with mods. -

So I think I understand how to convert loose to BA2 using Archive2, but I'm a littttttle confused with the naming conventions. What's the different between using - Main and - Textures? So does it have to be like a dummy ESP through creation kit "After the Fallout.esp" and then "After the Fallout - Textures.ba2"? Where does the - Main come in? Also, what's the easiest way to optimize vanilla textures? Thaaaanks -

Thanks man, yeah I do like Decent ENB but unfortunately it's a little too taxing for my system as I play at 4K. I lose over 20 FPS with it, and as I recall it's a fairly light ENB. I've heard that Subtle ENB is one of if not the lightest ENB's out there, so maybe I'll just test it out myself with Vivid Weathers. -

Hey guys, thanks for the great guide! Has anyone tried Subtle ENB with Vivid Weathers? If so, how does it look/perform? I know Vivid Weathers has its own color LUTs so. -
ENB v.308 crash at load game/new game
BoSoxBry replied to BoSoxBry's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Well, I even did a reformat and am still getting a CTD after using the console to start in Riverwood, new game, or load game with ENBoost 0.308. I think I will just give up and revert back to 0.262. Have you made any progress Badfrog? -
ENB v.308 crash at load game/new game
BoSoxBry replied to BoSoxBry's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Ahh okay. So it turns out that it's the 0.262 ENB binaries that work just fine...0.292 and 0.308 both CTD on new or save game load. This is so strange and frustrating, haha. Anyone know of any major changes between 0.262 and 0.292? -

I don't have Precision, but thanks for the tip! Hmm, I did notice that the enblocal created by ENB Organizer in its own directory has different settings than the one that was placed in the Skyrim directory? Thinking I'm getting close... -

Yes I use ENB Organizer, good call maybe I should investigate there. It does work fine for Fallout 4 -

Yes, doesn't it just install the files to a Windows directory though? Could this issue have something to do with Mod Organizer not being in the root Skyrim directory? -
ENB v.308 crash at load game/new game
BoSoxBry replied to BoSoxBry's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Urghhh, to try and track down the problem I did a re-installation and now the 292 binary CTDs as well! My enblocal is the same, and ENB works fine with Fallout 4. I mean, you would think it would have to do with the DirectX 9 runtimes but I def. downloaded and installed them. I'm at a loss -
ENB v.308 crash at load game/new game
BoSoxBry replied to BoSoxBry's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
I guess I'm out of luck. Boris said he can't help because he tested it several times and no changes were made to ENB 308 that would cause the crash. He said it was discussed several times in his forum with either drivers, crapware, or other programs being the culprit. Does anyone know if Vivid Weathers and Vividian would work withe the 292 binaries? -
ENB v.308 crash at load game/new game
BoSoxBry replied to BoSoxBry's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Yeah thanks, but that didn't work either. As opposed to devilpool, my game crashes regardless of whether I start a new game or try to load a regular save or autosave. I will let Boris know and report back here if I find anything out. -

Negative, still CTD with ENB .308 with those settings. -

Actually, I hadn't installed any presets yet... Just the binaries. Version .292 is working just fine, no clue what the deal is with .308 -

ENB v.308 crash at load game/new game
BoSoxBry replied to BoSoxBry's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Correct, and specifically the 308 binary. The 262 (or 292?) binary does not prompt a crash. No particular reason, I may have saw it recommended in the ENB Speed and Stability Guide. So yes, confirmed ENB 0.292 binary is functioning with no crash. Also turned deferred rendering back on, same results. -

ENB v.308 crash at load game/new game
BoSoxBry posted a question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Hey guys, So I'm fairly frustrated. I have followed the guide to the letter up until the ENB binary installation. Unfortunately, I have an instant CTD whenever I try to load a save game or a start a new game with the 308 binary. The odd thing is that the 271 binary appears to be working fine, with the same enblocal settings. I suppose I could just go ahead and use that binary, but I'm determined to figure out what the issue is here! I've installed the memory patch for SKSE and tried updating my Directx run times to no avail. I can post my enblocal file when I get home; don't think there's anything out of the ordinary here. Thanks in advance and thank you so much for the guide Neovalen; you have made modding fun!
