  1. Thank you for the detailed response. I currently have a pair of 980s and was considering whether to upgrade to a card with 8GB or the Ti with 12GB. It sounds like 8 will be plenty then? As far as cooling, I haven't had any difficulties keeping my 980s consistently under 70 C. Using Skyrim Performance Monitor, I max out my VRAM at 4GB so I was unable to tell exactly how much more it would use if I had more. Then of course ENB will switch to system RAM and the stutters happen. If you have enough VRAM though, does using large textures hypothetically not affect performance? You are right that you do not need 4K textures for small or insignificant things. But does your performance decrease the higher the VRAM usage even if you had say 12GB of VRAM?
  2. Does anyone know on average how much VRAM a heavily modded Skyrim will use at 4K resolution?
  3. Ok I'll give that a shot. Two things I'm wondering about with regards to the Merge Plugins and Bashed Patch though: I didn't install CK since it was an optional install. Would this affect the Merge Plugins section in any way since I don't have Papyrus Compiler? I didn't get any errors. I also haven't really been extracting BSA's except for a couple, would this affect the Bashed Patch?
  4. Everything has worked like a charm so far butttt unfortunately the Bashed Patch gave me an ILS at the main menu screen. I noticed it had some required masters from ESPs I had deactivated because they were in the Merge Plugins merges, so I reactivated them and obviously that wasn't the right solution. Any tips? Thanks so much for all the hard work on the guide!
  5. So after the Merge Plugins section, should I be unchecking all the mods that were merged in the left pane? Or just unchecking the .esps I merged in the right pane? I notice the left pane mod merge usually gets overwritten or overwrites the unmerged mods, but not all of the files.
  6. Also, does Borderless Window disable SLI? If so, is there a different way to achieve an alt-tabbable game?
  7. Hey guys quick question, OneTweak in Borderless Window Mode seems to disable my driver forced VSync....causing some choppiness and my FPS to go over 60. What's the best way to make sure VSync works with OneTweak so I can still alt-tab?
  8. So I created an Bashed Patch at the end of my load order to merge leveled lists but it seems to have broken Raider Overhaul as in most of the new equipment isn't spawning on raiders? Am I not supposed to create a Bashed Patch in FO4 or did I do something wrong?
  9. Deactivating the Bashed Patch worked. Sigh, sorry about that.
  10. Hello, I've run into this problem multiple times now. Here is my log, any help would be greatly appreciated. DynDOLOD_log.txt
  11. So OneTweak disables my GPU's forced vsync, and the ENB Vsync that I turned on is odd in that it locks my framerate to either 60 or 40/feels sluggish. As in if I can't maintain 60, it will lock it down to 40 rather than let it fluctuate. Is there a way to get my driver's Vsync to work with windowed borderless? Being able to alt-tab is nice, thanks in advance
  12. What FPS do you guys generally shoot for? Maybe I'm being a little too nitpicky in insisting that I want 60 FPS all the time and just lock it at 45
  13. Hmm, both my GPUs are reaching upper 90s already. I suppose it can't hurt to give it a shot on single GPU but playing on 4K resolution it seems like a long shot. I'm also already using the performance version of Vividian with DOF off.
  14. Thanks for all the hard work everyone! So, Vividian ENB crushes my graphics cards. Can anyone recommend settings to turn off on it, or perhaps another ENB to use with Vivid Weathers? I was using CoT and Realvision ENB Performance in my last build, which was fairly light in comparison. Would it break this guide to revert back to those? I have also noticed my CPU often being a limiting factor. I know shadow resolution and distance are the biggest hogs for this. If anyone has other tips on lowering CPU load I'd be grateful! 2x 980 4GB SLI I7-3770K 4.3 Ghz OC'd Windows 10 24 GB DDR3 RAM 4K Resolution
  15. During these massive frame stalls, I have had VRAM usage anywhere between 3.3 GB and 3.9 GB, the latter pushing the cap but that doesn't seem to be the cause since it still happens with lower usage as well? One spot in particular this happened was on the path overlooking Ivarstead on the way up to High Hrothgar. Core 1 on my CPU goes into the 80's% and GPU Usage will drop during these moments. Now, when CPU usage reaches the 80s is when I start to see frame drops during regular gameplay, to the 50's and 40's, but not to this degree. Perhaps there is simply too much strain on my CPU from LODs/shadows? I am perplexed as to why my GPU usage would drop though as well during these stutters.
