Should I create bash tags for esms?

I'm following DirtyWeaselMedia's Mod Organizer guide on FNV. He is covering merge patches,bash patches and bash tags. My question is about making bash tags with the Generate Bash Tags Script. I want to know if I can make bash tags for esm files that don't have bash tags? I want to know if that is safe to do that for esms? Should I create bash tags for both esps and esms that don't have them?

Thanks for sharing that, DirtyWeaselMedia's Mod Organizer guide on FNV was very helpful in adding bash tags. I was unaware of the generate bash tags script prior, and hadn't been able to find an easy to follow guide that really covered the subject before.

I can finally manage to add tags without much hassle, which will make resolving other issues that arrise with my load order and bashed patches that much easier.
