New to using the mod manager and Just wants to know if the order of downloading and installing mods are important still as in for example the SMIM And its thing about installing some mods first while other last. Does things like that still need to be followed or does it not care with how MO does the files?

Not so much. You can download mods and it does not matter what order you do it in. You can install them in any order you want and use the drag and drop feature to order them after the fact, but if you are following a guide, STEP or SRLE for example, it is better to do it the way it tells you to do it was designed to do it that way.

Cool thanks. Thats what cause a bit of problems for me when I was using the nexus mod manager was having to install the mods in a certain way because the mod SMIM or ststic Mesh improvement mod had to overwrite some files from certain other mods while other mods had to overwrite some of its files. Made it a hassle to do specially when two of the mods got packaged into a single mod and one of them was a mod that smim had to overwrite while the other had to overwrite smim.

The thing to remember is to forget how NMM did things and remember that mods in MO are installed into their own folder on the HDD. One mod will never overwrite the files from another mod on the HDD.

This only happens in the virtual file system, VFS. That is where the priority of mods in the left pane comes into play. Drag and drop allows you to decide which you want to use in game. The mod with the highest priority wins.

I realize that there has to be a file that recognizes my game controller when i run SKSE without MO. Anyone have any idea what that might be? I am using a XBOXONE controller. I did not have any problems with it before MO. MO just does not recognize my controller. ANything i can do? i know i am being repetitive, but as long as the point is eing made right?

I don't use a controller, but make sure that it is selected in game under settings / gameplay, 360 controller option. Each profile in MO uses its own configuration files and the one you are using may be missing the setting depending when you started using MO and when you used the controller.

I got it to work. Noticed a enable game pad line in Skyrimprefini file. Had to go to the one in the mod organizer under the profile. Thank you thane for pointing me in the right direction.
