Issues with Animated Weapon Enchants, Textures look cloudy

Question

Posted

Hi all,

First post here. I've searched the forum (and google) and haven't found anything. I really have no clue when it comes to modding, but I'm hoping my problem is really obvious to someone more farmiliar. Here goes...

I've installed STEP Extended, following all the direction (I think), and everything is working well, except for one thing: The animated weapon echantments look pretty bad. I think the problem is with "Animated Weapon Enchants" which was installed as part of STEP Extended. Or maybe some kind of conflict, but I am just running STEP Extended, I don't have any other mods.

Anyway, the textures look cloudy or streaky depending on the angle. They also move around as I move the camera around. It doesn't look anything like the video on the "Animated Weapon Enchants" Nexus page. If I had to guess, I would say the textures are the wrong size, or not aligned on the model the right way.

Ultimately it's not a big deal I guess, but it would be great if I could fix it. Is the problem obvious to anyone? Is there some way to debug this? (Like could I open this with Creation Kit or soemthing? Like I said, I am new, but I could try.)

Thanks in advance.

It does look somewhat weird. You picked the recommended option right (on the downloads page)? Also have you tried redownloading the mod entirely and seeing if it was a problem with the download?

Ok, so I was wrong with this post. It turns out that's how it's supposed to look!

I was looking at two weapons, one with stamina drain and another with frost. Those two enchantments are animated, and kind of have this blurry cloudy texture. I'm not a big fan of the way it looks, but that's how it is supposed to be. The other enchantments like fire and shock look more like what I was expecting, and have cool detailed textures.

Anyway, if you read this, sorry to waste your time!
