Clean Install of Skyrim - still have saves?

Question

Posted

Hey guys

My first post so please be kind.

Ive played through about half of skyrim in the past with a purely vanilla skyrim.  Several years later i decided to mod it and here I am following STEP.

I followed your instructions for creating a pristine new install of skyrim.  Ive deleted everything in the various skyrim folders and then I re-uploaded from steam.

Just as a curiosity I ran the game from the launcher and found I have about 10 savegames which i was very surprised to see as I thought I had deleted everything.  Can anyone help me here so this install is genuinely clean?

Many thanks and looking forward to STEP, currently reading up on WryeBash....man that is one intimidating programme.

Use MO and only use Wrye to create the bashed patch, is super easy just follow any pack instructions (STEP or SRLE).

Thanks for the replies guys. Been away for a few days. Hoping to complete step core this weekend.

Odd about the save games as I deleted all files at that path before I did the reinstall. I'm not at home so will check that location again after work.

Why don't I get paid for step nodding skyrim? Seems fair to me. Obviously I won't ever play skyrim, thats not how it works. Spend 6 months getting up to speed with step and all the new shiny mods. Install almost all and spend weeks conflict resolving. Get bored

. Take a 6 month break. Repeat.
