Question

Hi,

sorry to annoy you. I am really new in Mod Organizer.

I saw that FNIS is already within the "Plugins". Do I have to install FNIS again or is it already within the Mod Organizer. And when I have to, how do I do it (when I try to install FNIS or one of it's optional files like creatures or spells I get this manually installation).

I tried to find an answer using the search function, but I did not find it.

I am certain that FNIS doesn't have a plugin. Installing FNIS is immensly simple.

0. Remove everything from your "Overwrite" folder, located at the bottom of the left pane of Mod Organizer.

1. Download it through Mod Organizer.

2. Install it through Mod Organizer.

3. Go into the "Modify Executables" tab in Mod Organizer.

4. Type "FNIS" in the "Title".

5. Click the "..." in the "Binary" tab and find your FNIS mod. It's installed in your Mod Organizer folder, wherever you installed Mod Organizer. From there, go into the "mods" folder, then into the "Fores New Idles in Skyrim - FNIS" folder, then into the "tools" folder, then into the "GenerateFNIS_for_Users" folder and pick the "GenerateFNISforUsers.exe" file. In overview, the folder is "ModOrganzer/mods/Fores New Idles in Skyrim - FNIS/tools/GenerateFNIS_for_Users/

6. Then you untick the box "Close MO when started".

7. Then you pick your newly created executable called "FNIS" in the dropdown menu in the topright of Mod Organizer. Hit "Run".

8. If you only use FNIS for STEP: Extended, then you tick the "SKELETON Arm Fix" and hit the big yellow "Update FNIS Behavior" button.

(8b. If you use other FNIS mod, read their description page)

9. Go into your "Overwrite" at the very bottom of the left pane in Mod Organizer. Rightclick it, click "Create mod" and name the mod "FNIS Output".

10. Tick the mod in the left pane in Mod Organizer.

And then forever leave FNIS alone unless you reinstall, or download another mod that require FNIS.
