SRLE + SkyRe: working with the Reproccer WIP

Question

Posted (edited)

Update - 1 JUL: This may be the last update regarding SkyRe, the reproccer and merging it with SRLE. I've learned a ton, even made my own patches which was decidely fun.

Here's the Bottom Line:

SkyRe is an ambitious and amazingly good mod. However, in its current (final) state 1.3.01 it is just not compatible. It will run, and run pretty darn well for the most part with SRLE thanks to the many patches by Xathra, Gruffy, Raulfin, and many other mod authors. The crafting issues are just too large for me to continue working on it. To really make things compatible, consistent, predictable and sensible, it will take someone with the knowledge and skills to modify the Reproccer. With SkyRe v2 (Perkus Maximus) in development it does not make sense to continue pursuing fixes for 1.3.01. The reproccer does not handle the many recipes in SRLE and SkyRe properly. Resulting in multiple issues such as duplicate recipes, missing perks/mod features, menu issues, etc.. to provide consistent enough gameplay that I've grown accustomed to via Kryptopyr's superb mods. For crafting geeks like myself, its 90% of the enjoyment.

I plan to continue work on my crafting patch for standalone SRLE. Its a much easier task for my current skillset. I'll keep a link here for the standalone patch for those that want to use it.

Also, I'll leave these notes up for reference for anyone else that wants to see what they can do with SkyRe and SRLE.

A huge thanks to everyone who has contributed help, via patches, guidance, questions along the way. Gimpyone, Thaismule, DanielCoffey, Garfink, Fireundubh (those scripts are a godsend!)..

â€“Please note this is not a guide. It is my collection of ramblings and notes as I attempt to get SkyRe integrated into my modified SRLE build. I am a Novice with modding and do not gaurantee results with these notes and shared files. Feel free to make comments/recommendations, especially if you see something I missed or see a better way of doing it. It is a work in Progress....

I have switched from BOSS to LOOT. LOOT can be found here. There are a few minor changes when working with LOOT. BUM is no longer necessary as rules can be added directly to your load order via "Edit Metadata". The changes I made are noted in the PREPARATION section #9. IMPORTANT: Neo's guide is based on BOSS. LOOT does alter the load order and may introduce errors that are not covered by Neo's SR Conflict Resolution file.

My goals:

Near term goals (working with the reproccer and fixing item stats):

  • identify armors & weapons that need post-reproccing tweaking for: armor rating, damage rating, weight and/or material. (<-needs updated - 27 Jun)
  • fix items that don't melt-down/deconstruct properly (<- beta patch available - 27 Jun)
  • balance items to be consistent from all the various mods such as backpacks (weight and carry capacity, guard helmets, cloaks, etc...basically anything that doesn't match up)

Long term goals (for fixing errors introduced by adding SkyRe and its mechanics..most likely another thread down the road)

  • identify errors that arise from adding Skyre to SRLE such as - starting skill levels, skill level requirements & progression, verify perks working properly
  • deconflict SRLE mods that SkyRe overlaps (OBIS, BYOD, ??) distribution lists - ASIS may fix some of this possibly

I know this isn't fully in with this topic, but I recall a similar one involving ASIS, and just wanted to say that they've released a beta of it if y'all are interested! With ASIS, SkyRe is better (all the baddies get the perks, which is amazing).

Yes, definitely. ASIS could fix alot of things for OBIS too, I believe. I've never used it so I have left OBIS out right now.

OMG, rebuilding the SR conflict resolution esp is taking forever. All those cell edits just for ELE interior lighting....I'm just now getting to the rest of the edits.

Oh yeah, on my last play through I had OBIS and ASIS, it was pretty amazing!

I've gone through those cell edits myself, it makes a HUGE difference, I'm so glad they put in the ELE stuff. Looks amazing!

I sort of derailed a thread with this conversation last time, but SkyRe has a successor called PerMa , and it's apparently a couple of weeks from going to alpha. It SHOULD be less intrusive than SkyRe, and deal primarily with perks

Haha, is that dialogue from Ysolda when talking to Anoriath?

BTW gimpyone, your patch rocks! All the ICH helms are working properly when I place your patch last in the load order.

Edit: I still need to go check Jon Battle-born out and see if he's still missing his boots. Honestly, I don't care too much about his boots if the ICH helms are working.

Edit 2: Well, whatever it was its fixed now. Jon has his boots. Also, I re-verified all the stats I've been logging into the spreadsheet after my rebuild. Everything except one or two had the exact same results from the reproccer. Those few that were different are now updated. If I am using T3nd0's armor formula right, fixing the armor values should be as simple as compiling a SRLE Post Reproccer patch. I'm pretty excited with our progress! Not sure what the weapons will need but I'm hoping its as simple as the armors.

I am building the SRLE + SkyRe as well. Just starting.

I found the updated stats.xml - Recommended in Xathra's sticky post

I believe it includes new armor in IA 7.1

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37346/?

I also found fix regarding Melt-down

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50136/?

That ReProccer SIC Fix might be worth looking at. Now that I think of it, I was able to deconstruct items that Goblins dropped. Maybe he is on to something here about the ReProccer grabbing values from SIC and keeping them.

Also, I hope Gruffy's Skyrim Redone - CCOR patch still works with the updated (v1.4) CCOR. Ugh, I won't really know until I get a full understanding of all this or folks using it post in his forums. Hope he gets his computer fixed!

You're right about the dialogue. I tried seeing if there was a conflict with Anoriath in TES5edit, nothing I could see, so I think the issue is with OBIS. A female bandit also had facial hair, so I don't know what was going on. Uninstalling it now and rebuilding my CR patch. Wee.

My point was that Anoriath is wearing Hide Armor or something. Not the farmer outfit he has in vanilla.

Uninstalling OBIS did not help.

Nah, I realized after I posted that Ysolda was just talking nearby. I completely missed that he was in hide armor..! Kinda funny that you'd be getting a female bandit with facial hair. I wish I knew more about OBIS. I've never used it prior to learning about SRLE and S.T.E.P. If we can get Skyre working well enough, maybe someone out there can help us with OBIS.

Ok, I have an idea but haven't tested the process. Would this work?

According to the UESPWiki, I can create a simple batch file that will execute multiple console commands with a single command.

Would a faster way of testing melt-down be: creating a text file with individual entries such as - player.additem <item ID> 1? I'd just have to create the text file with all the Item ID's but that may be faster than running around in-game collecting stuff for testing. I wonder if it would crash the game engine though by trying to add 1000+ items to my inventory at once?

Edit: I am assuming that ReProccer.esp should contain all the (armor/weapon) ID's?

Interesting.. the batch files worked great. I'm only about half-way through the armor entries in reproccer.esp.

So far, there's 59 - ish armors that won't break down into anything that come from a mix (or some combination) of the .esm/.esp's that preceed Skyrim Immersive Creatures. I am not including anything marked Ench or 'not playable' in the batch files.

And 90-ish armors from Skyrim Immersive Creatures. The majority of these were the ones I was finding on my playthrough before I updated my SRLE build yesterday. Lots of duplicate armors with different ID's.

I've got them all separated in different storage containers based on what batch file I got them from. I haven't built a batch file yet for anything after SIC. In any case, it should only take a day or two to identify the broken armors (deconstruction wise) that are in ReProccer.esp.

Nice job with that. I don't think I would have figured that out. I think I know where to look to try and fix Anoriath. His class is "scout" and I wonder if SIC made changes to that class, something to look at next time I open tes5edit.

Sorry guys, I have some off topic questions if you don't mind.

- Do we still need to use Leveled list from qotsafan's patch and Leveled list extension patch from Xathra's? What do they do exactly?

- Do we still need to use Balbor's patch - SkyRe Crafting Fix, ReProccer NonPlayer Fix, Dragonborn Armor Fix, ReProccer Dragonborn Fix?

- Are you guys using IA 7 or IA 7.1?

- Are you guys using Immersive Weapon?

Thanks

Hey Thai, I'm just now reading your questions. FWIW, I didn't use anything from Qotsafan or Balbor & Steelsouls patches.

Honest answer about the leveled lists:... I don't know. I do not believe any of Qotsafan or Balbor & Steelsouls patches are needed at this point. Xathra says Qotsafan's leveled list patch is not tested but looks like its ok.

Reading over Xathra's sticky he says:

"- Install w/e you use from Balbor (Do not use any of his ReProccer Fixes, or any Immersive Armors and Weapons ESP's.- Install w/e you use from Qotsafan (Do not use any of his ReProccer Fixes, or any Immersive Armors and Weapons ESP's. (Do not use his MISC patch). **Using Leveled Lists patches by Qotsafan has not been tested, but from the looks of it, should be compatible, If it is not please let me know and I will get started on those when I have a chance**"

I hope to identify and fix any melt-down & armor/weapon rating issues as I make progress with my build. If I get it right, I don't believe any of those patches will be necessary but at this point, I have nothing to give you that would definitively say yes/no to these patches.

Edit: I am still using Immersive Armors 7. I haven't upgraded to 7.1 yet due to the stats.xml tweaks that are needed. There is a modified stats.xml offered by "electricdoor" in Xathra's forum though. It is "as-is".
