statmonster Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Assuming one dislikes vanilla alchemy what's a good mod to use for this? My main complaints with alchemy is the instant heal makes it too easy to avoid death (other than one shot kills) and thus allows a player to grind down even the toughest enemy and that alchemy seems unbalanced and not all that fun. Two choices seem to be: Dynamic Potions - Poisons - Ingredients - Food by egocarib https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/47521 SIPPS More - Skyrim Ingredients Potions Poisons Scrolls and More by mindkiller316 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48430 Are there others that should be looked at? Is Dynamic Potions stable and working? It seems to have more functionality but to be more complex. Do either of these have issues with RND food and alcohols? What about with mod added ingredients (like 101 Bugs)?
Neovalen Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I have dynamic potions installed and testing ATM. Like it thus far. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk
Kelmych Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 One the Enchanting Awakened page egocarib recommends these two alchemy/food mods: Phitt's Alchemy & Food Overhauland a newer modMiko's Alchemy & Food Overhaul They are more extensive than Dynamic Potions, but you can still use one of these with Dynamic Potions as most of what they do is different.
statmonster Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 Miko's is https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35124/?
Noobsayer Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Keep in mind, with Dynamic Potions you can still use another overhaul. I like Miko's for the rarity adjustments without as many sweeping changes as Phitts, but Dynamic Potions works alongside it :) I don't use the food portion of Miko's because of RND.
Kelmych Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I'm also planning to use Miko's mod (I also like that it is a little less sweeping than Phitts) and Dynamic Potions together. I loaded them and looked at the result with TES5Edit. There weren't very many conflicts that I had to address when I was building a patch.
