Newbie to Modding Skyrim

Hello everyone (anyone?).

 

I used to be able to play this game, then somewhere a mod went rogue. I had something like 240+ mods and I got about 8 hours in, level 10 and I met the Greybeards.

 

That was about a week or so ago. Now I can't usually get out of Helgen, but certainly not into Riverwood.

 

I'll try to make everything concise.

 

My PC Specs are:

 

CPU: Intel Pentium G 680 @ 3.00 GHz

RAM: 16GB (8x2) DDR3

Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti

 

Summary:

 

I can run Vanilla Skyrim, on Ultra graphic settings, no lag or stuttering and load screens breeze by.

 

My test when I drop most of my mods (down to maybe only 10, and i've tried different combinations of mods like gameplay or graphic enhancements only, etc.) and all I get are freezes, CTDs and nasty lag, even when running the game on Low settings.

 

Back when my modded game worked I got all the way to Windhelm and then I couldn't leave because everytime I would enter a new cell (at least I think I was entering a new cell because it always seemed to happen a certain distance from Windhelm) i'd CTD.

 

Now I have no luck with anything. Now I have yet to test this "build" yet (gonna try tomorrow but I work really early in the morn) but this is the intended load order.

This is complied with Mod Organizer, I ran BOSS through the program, I have never used Wyre Bash, nor do I currently know how and I haven't ever cleaned a mod with TES5Edit, nor do I currently know how. But I am willing to learn.

Just replace quote with spoiler, but I fixed it for you.

 

You need to manually sort those mods at the bottom that BOSS will not do. I'm not familiar with those plugins, so you are going to have to find out on your own where they go. The mod authors will know best.

 

To Clean a mod with TES5Edit you need to watch Gopher's video on his youtube channel. He does a nice tutorial on mod cleaning and will explain it better than I would. Just clean every plugin that BOSS says has ITMs and UDRs.

I'll have to look up that video, heard good things about Gopher from the different mod posts on the Nexus.

 

Just curious, is it important to pay attention to all these:

I understand (at least i think so) that they have to do with Wyre Bash and Bashed Patch, 0.esp some people have in their load orders.

Well I have just cleaned my Master files and begun on some of the mods with dirty edits and I can't beleive how easy this actualyl all has been!

 

Maybe i'll actually get to play tonight, w00t!

EDIT: O-M-G! It plays so beautifully, with graphics maxed out, no enchantment mods yet but that might be my next step! THANK you SOOO much!
