Freezing and crashing, random

Hello,

 

so for the past few days my Skyrim has been constantly freezing and crashing randomly. It can happen anytime, anywhere. Sometimes I Can go for quite a while with no crash, sometimes I can go 10 minutes. The furthest I got was maybe 2 hours. I've re-installed skyrim multiple times, used BOSS to get my load order, and just googled everywhere to find problems and compatibility issues . I thought I had fixed it on multiple occasion, only to receive one of the 2 and crush my dreams

 

I am hoping someone here can relief me from my pain.

I also have the SHD pack and some new animations including immersive animations and new animations for spell casting and no ENBS.

I haven done some of the .ini tweaks from here https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1387/?. 

 

I have also cleaned the recommended files as said by BOSS

 

I use NEXUS as my mod manager

 

AS for the crashing itself, it does it randomly. Sometimes I can be walking with nothing going on, sometimes during combat. With my latest install I crash twice in thirds person within 20 minutes and assumed that third person was causing it. So I then did it in first person and managed to do all of bleak falls barrow and killing the first dragon, but then it crashed when fighting the bandits at the Valtheim Towers. When it crashed in third person I was walking toward bleak falls barrow, up the hill, second time at the entrance with the bandits. It also crashed another time in third person when inside dragons reach.

 

I am using the normal Skyrim with no DLC

 

Any advice would be much appreciated!

How much VRAM does that quarto have? You might have memory issues where you running out of VRAM wih that gpu.

It has About 4GB

 

*EDIT* Actually might be 1GB (not the best at this)

 

says graphics memory is 4845MB

 

and video memory 1024MB.

 

I assume its one of those 2

I would try lowering the texture resolution. You are probably hitting a memory limit and Skyrim is very touchy about that. You are using the high res DLC so one thing you can do is get the Optimized HRDLC mod. It is quite large, but you can install that and install the 1024 option and just not use the HRDLC. This will bump up some of the textures in Skyrim, but not push others to 2048 and save you precious VRAM and RAM.

 

Also, for the sake of stability you may drop a couple of gameplay mods like player headtracking. I doubt you will miss a couple of mods. If you have a character that is high level don't go uninstalling those gameplay mods until you want to start a new character though, or you can mess up your saves.

It still appears to be freezing after removing the high res textures and some mods. I removed game-play mods and stuff like SMIM.

 

You sure non of those mods conflict? :s
